This problem has been so focused on southeast and on the east side of the river, although it has come across the river just a few minutes ago i spoke to an activist who said it shouldnt take a murder in shaw to get the chief of police and others here in southeast talking about this problem and what can be done to bring other people to the table. Take a listen. Almost every shooting thats happened in d. C. , the police were nearby so thats clear that the police are doing a great job but they are not the only answer to the problem and in the past we have collective efforts with everybody working together, community leaders, parents, citizens, businesses, and the Police Department and the city.
