They arrived to the housing complex to discover 22yearold shakkan elliottibbs of woodbridge suffering from a gunshot wound. They rushed him to the hospital and he was pronounced dead there at the hospital. We spoke to his aunt Bernadette Tibbs who says her nephew she believes was shot after someone accused him of robbery. I got a call. I was at home and they said your nephew just got shot. I left there and i came here. I wouldnt know where i wanted to know where he died at. Reporter the aunt tells us she lives just blocks away from the scene and the nephew did have friends, acquaintances who lived in this housing complex but of course theyre still trying to piece together exactly what happened and they are asking for your help, anyone who may have seen or heard anything. Thats the conclusion of investigators who have combed through whats left of the mount zion a. M. E. Church in greeleyville. It burned late tuesday. There was a driving rainstorm and lightning happening in the area at the time. The smoke has stopped rising, the fire is out but this morning 5,000 people remain out of their homes following a Train Derailment near maryville, tennessee. The train was carrying Hazardous Materials used to make plastic products. One of the 57train cars caught fire. The fumes from that fire can potentially cause headaches, did dizziness and rapid heart beat. That means People Living nearby got disturbing knocks on their doors. It had this cover o. Looked like, cover on. Looked like people in the et movie or something t. Just had this big thing on his face with oxygen connected to it. It was pretty scary. It freaked us out. Quite the wakeup call there. About three dozen people have gone to the hospital so far with respiratory complaints. As investigators try to determine what caused this latest crash, safety improvements to prevent freight Train Derailments are supposed to be in place by years end. You go by the National Headlines it may seem like the cases of derailments are going up but the numbers show otherwise. Kris van cleave reports. Reporter in the first four months of 2015 there have been seven Train Derailments releasing hazardous terms. Overall the federal materials. Overall the federal aviation reports derailments are down. The challenge in Railroad Safety is theres no one cause you can attack. Reporter dr. Zurminsky teaches train safety at the university of delaware. We tend to look at where are the larger concentrations of derailments and what the technology is going to help to try to find the derailment causes before it results in a derailment. Reporter there is a concern the sometimes onemile long oil trains hauling crude from north dakotas oil food. The amount transported by rail has jumped 4,000 percent since 2008. At least five times this year oil trains have derailed and caught fire. National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Christopher Hart has expressed concerns about the tank cars used to care crude. Unfortunately were using the same cars to move crude oil that we use to move corn oil. That is simply not acceptable. The percentages are amazingly low. 99. 995 percent of cars get across our Network Without an accident. She tells me she was here on the scene, lives nearby and talked to folks here in this courtyard in this complex who believe that her nephew was shot and killed after someone accused him of robbery. Rescue crews recovered three more bodies this morning. About 200 passengers were on board, including three americans when the ferry flipped over in strong waves. The captain and some crew members have been arrested. A man in hagerstown is being held on a Million Dollars bond for beating a 9yearold boy for eating a piece of cake. Robert wilson is being charged with assault and child abuse. Investigators say he handcuffed and beat his girlfriends son for eating a piece of birthday cake without permission. The 9yearold was found unconscious with severe bruises. To have a 9yearold in a condition hes in now because of an adult literally beat him into that condition is traumatic. Its [indiscernible] investigators say wilson and the boys mother denied the boy medical attention for about four hours. This morning the child is in Critical Condition. 6 34. He says fair debate is often ned out by huge sums of money and he would like to change that.
