This morning, developing right now, Delaware County authorities are trying to determine what sparked a massive fire at a brookhaven condo building. You see it fully engulfed there. Well, likely because it was dinnertime, thomas all 100 people in the unit all got out okay, not even hurt, all pets even out at last count, three dogs, three cats and a bird. But look, see these ants . Theyre three stories hype, whats left of the building, but notice the second and third flyer all have balconies, family of three trapped on the third floor rescued by ladder. They had to come down the ladder which is not easy to do in the dark, in the cold, and usually those lad remembers slippery because they get the water mist, they even got down safely. The fire started and spread quick and maybe because it was dinnertime, maybe for other reasons, but you can see, the whole roof was gone within seconds, and it seemed like this is going to be real bad. But so many firefighters got here so fast that such great brave work, they got everybody out alive. And when you hear everybody and even the pets usually some arent home from work, worry about their cat they leave alone, but red paw relief says all pet accounted for, great news. Here is one of the 100 people who lost everything, but werent so worried about it the day after christmas. Went outside, and looked, and saw the glow at the top of the building, and within, i guess, maybe, five, ten minutes, flames were shooting up, the trucks were arriving, and the hoses were being pulled out. Well they will be back here looking for a cause today. Thomas, we dont know if this is related or unrelated but one guy taken into custody here. One of the tenants, one of the own hers a marijuana grow operation were told by authorities, going out here, and you know, they always have very strong lights, and sometimes they have caused fires in the past. So we dont know if thats suspected or it just happened to be stumble upon. When authorities got into the building and fighting this fire, and just saw that coincidentally, so, a lot of things to look at right now, but again, at least theyre only looking at a fire and a cause and not looking at anybody reason to be killed in this fire. So, just great news, great work for everybody, and it is always good to be reporting on something where nobody got hurt. But, the day after christmas when you lose everything, thats always tough, too, and what an outpouring of love from all of the neighbors instantly after they saw this on the news, at dinnertime, all donating so many clothes, Everything Else you could possibly need to the point where they had to say we got enough stuff. Stop donating. Just give money to the red cross if you want to help. Neighbors doing what they do best. Dont like to see that scene. One man crime spree in West Philadelphia ends with a officer opening fire. Police say it started just before 9 00 yesterday morning, when a 21 year old man walked into this corner deli at 52nd and vier syringe, willingly allegedly pulled a gun on customer, stole cash, threated the scene in an s. U. V. Which he had stolen earlier this day. After short car chase, Police Caught up to the suspect and an officer said he was forced to shoot the suspect right in the chest. The operator made movement, gestures moving to his waistband, despite officer orders. During the course of that confrontation the officer did discharge his firearm. Officials say that suspect is in Critical Condition at presbyterian hospital. Bethlehem police say an Armored Vehicle called a bear cat saved lives when a man started firing off rounds at officers. This was all during a standoff. Officials say that barricade took bar cat took 26 shots during last weeks incident. Now investigators say, 36 year old justin cepheart shot and killed his mother at her home on the 1500 block of dennis street friday, then started firing at police who arrived at the scene. After a eight hours long standoff, police say, cepheart shot and killed himself. The Northampton County nor year say his father took his life in his home monday. Investigators dont know what sparked fridays violence, but say he had ongoing issues with his mother. A gunman is on the loose this morning, after fatally shooting a teenager in broad daylight yesterday. It happened around 3 00 on the 4600 block evergreen street in germantown. Police say someone shot the 18 year old twice in the neck. He died at the scene. No word on possible suspect at this time. But police did recover a weapon at the scene. A bucks county woman faces Assault Charges this morning, after police say she fired a gun. Warminster police say debra delatore in a argument around 11 30 p. M. Sunday night 400 block of call me a street. Investigators say after that argument, delatore fired a pistol at the other person, didnt hit them. Charged with aggravated assault and other related charges. Police are asking for your help this morning, identifying a suspect wanted for two robberies, this right here you are about to see. It happened around 2 00 near the ridge avenue and kelly drive exit in east falls. Now, Officials Say the car flipped over at first, right before it caught on fire. Luckily, Good Samaritan driving along the roadway, he says he was simply in the right place at the right time. I seen the car flip over and catch on fire, so i immediately spun around on the highway to come check on the guy because literally nobody else on the highway. Quickly pulled the gentleman out of the car, and pulled him to the side of the highway. As bob just told us, the roadway has reopened, but motorist also still being warned to take it slow throughout the area. Because the water used to put out that fire has left ice on the road. If you look at this building even the first floor where the fire didnt burn, the reason theyre destroyed, theyve got so much water damage, because, gallons and gallons came down through their places, because this fire was so big and so intense in the early initial findings here police tell us this morning, focused on electrical cause of what quickly became a massive fire just before 6 00. And you can see, from our skyfox video, how big this fire got, and how quickly, because we sent them up as soon as the 911 call came in, at just before 6 00 p. M. , and you know, in the daytime, that gives you a bigger head start, whether youre volunteer awake and out, or youre home here in this building and youre awake rather than being completely asleep and caught off guard for the initial time. But, just one of several building in this complex burned. Theyre far enough away from each other, not to spread, but also, you have the firefighters getting here so fast and doing some terrific work, first getting everyone and even every pet out first, then keeping this contained to the one building 18 unit, all occupied by the way, many people lost everything, just a day after christmas. The building can be replaced, im out of there. I dont have anything. But im still here. Still here. Look, now, you can notice, that theyve got balance con he is own the upper nears, and the assistant fire chief out here who was also the fire marshall, charles leslie, says family of three was trapped up on the top floor balcony, when they got here. As flames lept up from below. They got ladder up to them real quick, all three safely down in second. Chief leslie also talk about the instant outpouring from help from neighbors who took in strangers from the cold, donating clothes, blankets, food, and even toys, thomas, since kids in this building lost all of the toys that santa brought them just the day before. Chief leslie says, it is a community with unity here. Everybody helps everybody here in brookhaven. A great story all around. Even if people lost everything, they dont feel so bad, knowing, that people helped them so much and everybody got out okay.
