Police say their investigating whether the victim fell, hit hit his head and died or if this was, in fact, a homicide. Now, it is up to the medical examiner, to determine if this 80 year old man died from an accidental fall, or if it could have been foul play. The scene was disturbing, according to police. They say they were called to the 2500 block of lehigh avenue, in Port Richmond, for the report after elderly man, lying dead on the kitchen floor, surrounded by a lot of blood. It happened sometime before 9 00 p. M. Police say thats when family members returned home, and found the 80 year old man dead, police are talking to those family members, along with neighbors, and friends, anyone who saw the victim yesterday, as they try to confirm whether or not there was an accident or something criminal. Well, at this point shall we dont know if there was any foul play involved or if the victim fell and hit his head, and thats how he cut his head and thats how he died. Doesnt appear that there was any forced entry to the house. It also does not appear that the house was ransacked, in anyway. The house is very neat and clean. And the medical examiner, again, will perform an autopsy which should be able to confirm how this man died, whether someone brutally killed him, or if this was an accidental death.
