That toddler was what happening on the twenty two hundred block of north 16th street. Investigators say the child had a substantial burn on the left foot. Police were able to find the twoyearold home where they also found an 11yearold inside inside. Authorities say the house was in deplorable conditions. Both children taken to saint christophers hospital. The department of Human Services and the special victims unit both have been notified. Happening now, an arrest in the brutal murder of a recent Drexel University graduate. It was just over a week ago that Jasmine Wright was found in her 50th street apartment bludgeoned and strangled. Police say 56yearold james harris, beat and strangled Jasmine Wright last thursday afternoon in the bedroom of her third floor apartment near 50th and locust over a week later a small memorial sits outside her door. Just completing graduate school at drexel with a bright future, the 27yearold came home not knowing harris was there. She was on her cell talking to her mother who lived in virginia. At that time he tacked her. Hate Building Maintenance man before he was fired for poor performance two weeks ago. Are you surprised by who it is . No. Not at all. Many here asked not to be identified but those who have met him have stories of strange behavior. Not surprising to police. He is 56 years of age. Richards was gunned down around 10 00 oclock this morning on the 2300 block of West Glenwood avenue. Police say richards was shot 12 times. The scene littered with spent shell casings. Family members say richards has never had any trouble with the law. They say he just finish school and recently got a job as a trucker. 10 00 oclock in the morning. Why . We still trying to find out. The girl says he first swam underwater and grabbed her thigh. She says minutes later he swam under again this time behind her. And grabbed between her legs. She screamed and went to tell her mom. 12yearolds are old enough to be in the water themselves up to their waist deep, but now we have to keep an eye on the 12yearold to watch out for predators, too, on the beach and it shouldnt happen. Authorities say 63yearold man of bensalem and 53yearold man of newtown pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking. They admitted to police they falsified time sheets to collect emergency overtime pay. Both men were sentenced to one year in jail. 500,000 a year.
