The Dean of the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resource Sciences at Washington State University has been named the new provost at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Andre-Denis Wright is set to begin his new job in Norman on July 1st.
Wright was hired WSU CAHNRS dean just 3 years ago. He was a finalist for WSU provost last year.
Wright was also announced as a candidate for the president’s job at Louisiana State University this month. The Dean of WSU’s Carson College of Business Chip Hunter was also on the list of candidates for LSU president. Neither ended up being a finalist in Baton Rouge.
