Ace wrestler and two-time Olympics medallist Sushil Kumar has been sent to six-day judicial custody in connection with the brawl which had broken out at Delhi’s iconic Chhatrasal Stadium on 4 May, culminating in the death of a young wrestler,
Livemint.
This came after Delhi Police nabbed the 37-years-old wrestler and his 48-years-old associate Ajay (alias Sunil) yesterday morning from Delhi’s Mundka area. Kumar had been absconding ever since the news of the brawl broke out on 4 May.
It should be also be noted that the Delhi Police had announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000 for information leading to the arrest of Kumar and his associate, respectively.
