Thank you, matt. Breaking news a man was shot execution style in the common area of an Apartment Building in the citys East Mount Airy section. Police say it appears the 28yearold victim was ambushed and shot multiple times at close range with two different guns at 10 30 last night. The victims girlfriend and his two young daughters were just feet away. Inside their apartment when the gunfire erupted on the 800 block of east vernon road. They were not injured. Police are still searching for the killer or killers. Four people including two teenagers are recovering from being shot during a driveby shooting in north philadelphia. Police are describing this as a driveby shooting and currently they are looking for the gunman. This is video from overnight. At the scene here in north philadelphia. This happened around 9 30 last night along north 24th and clifford streets. Upon arrival, police found a 52yearold male with gunshot wounds to his back. He is in stable condition this morning. But while authorities were investigating that scene, they received information that three other gunshot victims had shown up to hahnemann hospital. That included a 22yearold who was shot multiple times in the back and legs. Hes in Critical Condition and was unresponsive as of last night. Two 13yearold boys were also transported in a private vehicle to the hospital. They were shot in the legs and are expected to survive their injuries. Back at the scene, investigators were still trying to piece together what may have happened and who the gunman was. They found 16 shell casings from a large caliber gun. Take a listen to what police have to say. It appears that a dark colored vehicle, fourdoor, fired shots while traveling south on 24th from ridge. So, at this time it appears to be a driveby shooting. Reporter and police dont know who the intended target was. They dont believe it was the 13yearold boys given their age. At this point theyre interviewing witnesses, theyre also looking through some surveillance camera footage hoping that will provide them with some clues but they also do not have a known motive. Abington Township Police say the two beat the boy to death because he spilled his cereal monday night in their willow grove home. The boys mother lisa smith, and her boyfriend, keiff king, are charged with aggravated assault, attempted murder and other related charges. Those charges could become murder charges when officials get the official autopsy results. Delaware county congressman pat meehan now acknowledges he developed a deep affection for a former aide but claims he never harassed her and never pursued a romantic relationship. The republican spoke to members of the media yesterday. A recent New York Times report stated meehan used taxpayer money to settle the womans harassment complaint. The 62yearold meehan who is married admitted he reacted badly when he discovered the aide was involved with another man but he says he never crossed the line. But i did struggle with the idea that this was somebody who i had a a kin ship with in a deep way. Meehan has been removed from the House Ethics Committee as congress conducts its investigation. Larry nassar will be sentenced after more than 100 women and girls have confronted him with claims of serial abuse. Nassar has pleaded guilty.
