Upper darby resident takes the market frankford line to 30th street station where he gets out for his walk and then returns via the el. One theory, the attacker targeted his victim on his return to 69th street as he exited the terminal to walk home. Thats a what we think. Were searching for videos from the terminal and also any businesses along the way that may see who this perpetrator is. Reporter well, that search for the video continues. Without the video, though, police are asking for the publics help. The sense is given the time of day and the location, somebody had to see something. It was 2 30 on a sunday afternoon. The walk between the terminal and glendale is a short one, it is heavily used by lots of pedestrians. A grandmother is facing charges tonight after her threeyearold granddaughter accidentally shot herself. It happened in the kingsessing section of philadelphia. Charges against the childs father Terrance Williams have been dropped but his mother Barbara Mcgill has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Mcgill also faces charges of tampering with evidence. Police say the girl shot herself in the leg with her fathers gun. The incident happened yesterday in a home on the 1300 block of south wilton street. Hip hop artist meek mill had a visit today from the reverend al sharpton. Meek mill is serving time for a parole violation at the Chester State Correctional Institution in the city of chester. Thats where action News Reporter Sarah Bloomquist is live tonight. Sarah, a high profile inmate and a high profile visitor. Reporter jim, the reverend al sharpton spent quite a bit of time this afternoon here at this correctional facility with meek mill. He said its part of his efforts to get the north philadelphia born rapper a new hearing after what many see as an unnecessarily harsh sentence for a probation violation. He said he also wants to draw attention to the mass incarceration of young black men here in pennsylvania and nationwide. The reverend al sharpton arrived at the Chester State Correctional Institution at 2 30 this afternoon to meet with Rapper Meek Mill along with mills new york based attorney. The pair emerged two and a half hours later. We had a very brunt talk. Hes a bright young man. Hes committed and he really said reverend, if nothing else, let people understand what this system does. Reporter earlier this month, the 30yearold mill was sentenced to two to four years in prison by judge Denise Brinkley for violating his probation stemming from gun and drug convictions in 2008. The same judge extended his probation for other violations over the years. Sharpton contends mills case is symbolic of widespread injustice in the judicial system. In mills case the prosecutor and parole officer didnt ask for jail time. He is representative of something far more than his stardom, hes a symbol of the abuse of the system that will violate you over nothing and end up ruining the potential and the ability to move forward in life. Reporter mills case has drawn widespread attention. Billboards line local highways, celebrities and other activists are speaking out. Its just a horrific situation but at least we have the focus on this situation. Well keep the focus on the situation until its rectified until hes released and hopefully thats going to be soon. Reporter a couple of weeks ago mills attorneys filed a series of motions asking for the judge to reconsider the sentence and recuse her several from this case. They contend shes asked mill for personal favors and acted outside of normal judicial conduct. If theres no response by december 5th, the defense team plans to appeal to a higher court. The bomb squad has given the allclear after investigating a suspicious device discovered in camden county. Authorities were called to the 1100 block of west park avenue in lindenwold at 11 oclock this morning. The device was found in an apartment but officials determined it to be inert. No other potential explosives were found. West park avenue was closed for an hour and a half during the investigation. A Police Officer from ocean county used catlike reflexes to avoid being hit by a car. This is newly released video of the incident in manchester earlier this month. The officer had just finished a crash investigation. As he walked back to his cruiser, another vehicle sped by near technological running him over. The officer was able to jump out of the way and avoid serious injury. That driver was pulled over a short time later and issued a citation. Eagles fans are riding a wave of jubilation, that after the team won its tenth game yesterday against the chicago bears. They make eight little party while danielle takes the opportunity to teach her fifth graders hard work and determination. The reason this happened neibaur says he was simply trying to help a man who crashed his car outside of his home near b and westemoreland streets. The street light was knocked over so of course im thinking got to be somebody injured. Reporter action news was there the night of the crash back on october 25th. Turns out the man in the car was the same man police say just shot two people minutes before killing one. Police say the suspect is Joshua Torres plaza and he intended neibaur to be the next victim. I look over and hes taking the tag off the car. Thats odd. And then he walked up he said hey buddy could you call 911. I said yeah. He said thank you. And i just felt the back of my head, it felt like a lead pipe or something heavy metal just hit me on the head. Reporter his wife jackie watched it happen. And he turned around and pulled out the gun and shot him i thought it was in the back of the head and my husband just went completely down. Reporter neibaur says the in exfew hours are hard to remember. He says he didnt even know he was shot until paramedics told him. After an extensive surgery and hospital stay he pulled through. A week in the hospital intensive care 500 stitches. Reporter now he needs help.
