Woman charged in hit-and-run days after man killed changing tire on Brookshire

Cynthia Ann Marcano, 33, has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a man dead in northwest Charlotte on Jan. 22, police said.
She has been charged with felony death by vehicle and felony hit-and-run.

Emergency crews were called around 9 a.m. on Jan. 22 to the scene on Brookshire Boulevard near Interstate 485.
The collision happened in the outbound lanes, MEDIC said.
Police said David Mercurius, 54, was hit by a car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
