Whip out your stash of reusable bags and prepare your wallet for a beating – the biggest shopping day of the year is upon us.
The COVID-19 pandemic has meant a few changes to the way we shop this Boxing Day.
But representatives from Mackay’s major shopping centres have assured us the same big bargains will be on offer.
Caneland Central centre manager Simon De Barro said retailers had reported strong sales in the lead-up to Christmas and were preparing for a bumper Boxing Day, despite the economic downturn.
“We’re expecting a very strong day similar to previous years,” Mr De Barro said.
