What's an apology dinner?
That's the question thousands of Reddit and Twitter users asked Thursday after reading a post by the Reddit account Medium_Cook7987 on the "Am I The A--hole" subreddit.
The subreddit is dedicated to users posting situational drama, then asking the question "AITA?"
The post in question, which has since been removed by the AITA moderators, explains a situation where Medium_Cook7987 was arranging a potluck for their sister's "Apology Dinner." When the sister arrived at the potluck, she was offended that her mother — the person doing the apologizing — didn't prepare or pay for the meal herself "to show proper atonement."
