Strengthening work continues on Wellington Town Hall.
Good afternoon Pōneke, here’s what is happening in the pages of the Dominion and around the city today.
1pm: A day in the life of a Wellington bus driver
Transport reporter Joel MacManus spent the day with Mana Coachlines drivers Stephen Hilliard and Eruera Grace.
Hilliard spent 25 years of his career as a funeral director, now he starts most mornings with a school run, and it leaves a smile on his face every time.
“I had many, many years of hearing the sounds of sorrow and grief. Now, when I have kids screaming and yelling and carrying on, I love it. I love every minute of it. It’s the sound of happy kids,” he says.
