Galesburg police are seeking information into an ongoing investigation of a shooting early Sunday morning. According to the Galesburg Police Department, officers responded at around 1:30 to a shooting at the Grand Tap, located at 2051 Grand Avenue. On scene, several vehicles were located with bullet holes. A short while later, a victim arrived at OSF St. Mary Medical Center's ER with a gunshot wound. The victim was later transported to OSF St. Francis Hospital to treat their injuries. No more details on the victim or their injuries were released. The incident is under investigation and GPD is being assisted by the Illinois State Police, Knox County Sheriff's Office, Abingdon Police Department, and Knox County State's Attorney's Office.
