Reporter theres still an active scene here where the female officer was shot, and police tell us they have two potential suspects in custody right now, and they are being questioned at this hour, and this is what we know. Police say the officer was a member, as you mentioned, of mayor de blasios security team, and she was getting out of a vehicle, just beyond the crime tape scene behind me, when she was shot in the back pellet gun. The incident was around 7 15 tonight on east end avenue a few yards away from the front gate of gracie mansion. The governor was not here, but the officer just arrived as the advanced team. She was getting out of the passenger side of the car when she was shot in the back by a pellet gun. Her partner quickly looked up, and from a window at an apartment building, he saw people inside. Two people were seen running from the officer, and the officer pursued them, and they were quickly able to apprehend them. A 19yearold man and 18year old woman are now being questioned by police. As far as the officer is concerned, the female officer was taken to the hospital, and we are told she is going to be okay.
