Reporter the big question is how a baby got locked in the safe in the first place. Now police are looking for the family possibly from brooklyn after they left the hotel. An infant rescued from a locked safe. This all took place at the Howard Johnson hotel by the falls in niagra falls early tuesday morning. The panicked parents alerted safe their child was locked in the safe. A Maintenance Worker came in and was able to unlock the safe. The baby was alert and crying when the safe was opened. Its unknown how long the baby had been locked in the safe. Police believe the baby is less than a year old and small enough to fit in the safe thats about 19 inches wide, 13 inches hall and 16 inches deep. Once hotel staff realized how serious this was they contacted police. By then the parents left with the baby. Police now do not know where they are.
