You can see this from Foley Stadium in wilmington. The fog not as thick here. All of those neighborhoods as you mentioned are going to have it likely for hours. Its going to take some time to clear. The thickest fog is in the suburbs and lehigh valley. Reading, quakertown holding for zero visibility in quakertown. And coatesville and Philadelphia International also seeing that dense fog. Not as widespread in delaware and south jersey, but you can see pockets of light fog. Well see temperatures climb and see the fog disappear but thats going to take hours to begin with. 48 degrees unusually warm. The average High Temperature is 45. Were already higher than that in philadelphia. 50s in new jersey. That warm air will surge into the rest of the area. And this afternoon, well get some sunshine, the fog will be long gone. And the temperatures will be approaching record levels today. Ill break it down hour by hour, show you how quickly the fog clears in your area when im back in ten minutes. This is how the fog is affecting the trip. See, theres a car moving through there. Normally, we can at least see the roads even though its kind of dark outside with 5 30. The fog is causing visibility issues up in the lehigh valley. Upper moreland. Were seeing a crash right now closed at mill road. Theres no access too the willow drove interchange. If youre shadying southbound and the ramp easton ramp is where theyre diverting traffic off right now. A lot of that with that closure especially continues on later on in the morning with an accident investigation, which i think so it will, thats going to cause big delays, vai and tracy. Lets talk about the delays from the fog. You want to give yourself extra time because of the fog. And nbc10s katy zachry is on the roads in storm force 10. Joining from us Chester County. Kacey, how is Chester County looking . Reporter well, were in coatesville. Were seeing patchy fog. Youre dealing with a couple things as you get up and out the door for school and work, what youre noticing is wet roads. But thats not really the big issue. The big is patches of dense fog. And when we say dense fog, were talking about very limited visibility. A quarter mile in front of you. So youre dealing with the wet roads. The patchy fog. Dense in some areas. And the best way to drive in this, thats what were finding right now is to be cautious. Some drivers are going slower than normal. And high deems abeams are bad f. They make it for difficult for you. We are going to led west, continue west on business route 30. Were going deeper into coatesville. And the suburbs around it where theyre reporting zero visibility. Last night, vigils like this held across florida to remember the victims. Organizers wanted to give the victims and parents a way to express their feelings and grieve. Earlier in the day, outside the white house, the napes of victims were read out loud. And then students staged a liein Holding Signs and calling for end to gun violence. Next month, students and victims of other Mass Shootings will hold a march on washington calling it a march for our lives. Hoping to push lawmakers to unify and Work Together in tougher gun legislation. In an exclusive nbc news interview, quewere hearing fro one of the teachers who describes her dramatic day when that shooting started last week. I thought it might be a drill. Its going to take a long time for it to clear. So expect it well into the commute, if not, to the morning commute. The wind from the south and warm air heading in but its hitting the colder ground in some neighborhoods and thats whats giving thick fog. Philadelphia, youre seeing the fog right now. Dense fog at Philadelphia International at 48 degrees. A little bit of a southwesterly breeze. Even though its going to be cloudy this morning the fog will ease once the temperature starts to climb. Once we get sunshine, well be heading for the low 70s this afternoon, potentially a record for philadelphia. 48 degrees right now in the suburbs. A foggy start. So foggy atlunchtime, well get sunshine. Middle 60s and possibly testing temperatures in upper 60s in the afternoon. 38 right now in the lehigh valley. Thats the coolest spot. Theyll be at 41 degrees at 8 00. The temperatures will be climbing a little bit once they reach the upper 40s the fog will disappear. Then the clouds thin out for sunshine and a nice warmup for the lehigh valley. New jersey some pockets of mainly light fog. 55 degrees to start with. 60s, near 70 degrees this afternoon. And the coolest spots afternoon temperatures in upper 50s. By then, fog will be done. By later this morning, the fog will clear from the jersey shore. Delaware, you can see the fog at Foley Stadium. 51 degrees. Still fog at 8 00, by 9 00, 10 00, that fog will clear out. And sunshine in upper 60s. Possibly low 70s for this afternoon for delaware. Record is 70 degrees in philadelphia. Forecasting 72. And we tie the record in trenton, as we go a degree above it in wilmington. So, a very warm day ahead. But we have to deal with the fog right now. And that means dealing with whats on the roads. Jessica boyington is monitoring it from the first alert traffic center. But the colder neighborhoods, thats where youre getting the fog as the warm air is pushing into the area. The fog is being created as the warm air moves in. 51 degrees on society hill and 50s in northeast philadelphia. Well number 50s most of the morning. Even after the fog thins out. Well still be looking at cloudy skies at 10 00. Once we get the sunshine, the temperatures take off when that happens this afternoon, expecting low 70s and even warmer tomorrow. Love the fog. The clouds, not happening. Theyre all to the west. And thats where youll find rain that is going to stay out of the picture for us, until the end of the week. See that cold air and that snow . Thats not going to get anywhere near us. No, well get another warmup. In fact, another warmer day tomorrow with fog less likely in the morning. Dense fog too much of a commute. Then it eases. Then we get that sunshine. 70s today. Upper 70s potentially tomorrow. Then here comes the wet weather and rain. The normal high is 45. Well be closer to that pretty much all day on thursday. And 40s all day. But the numbers will slowly climb in spite of more rain for friday. And rain showers on saturday. And a steady rain on sunday. By monday, once the weekend is over, thats when we get to see the sunshine again. Monday afternoon, 56 degrees. And then temperatures will be near, near 50 degrees for tuesday, wednesday and thursday. Thats a good deal of sunshine and it will be. All right, bill.
