The first snowflakes and raindrops potentially late this afternoon and into the early evening hours at the shore. The temperatures should be above freezing. Im not expecting accumulations today. Ill break it down hour by hour and show you when you can expect the snowflakes to come into your neighborhood when im back in ten minutes. First, katy zachry has first alert traffic. Fortunately the precipitation youre talking about thats in our future is not on the roads today. Everything is dry. Ill show the cameras in a minute. Just a quick overview of the majors in pennsylvania. 95, 76, and the blue route. 476 in the green. That means no construction blocking traffic. That means theres no crashes. As you see, average speeds hovering around 60 Miles Per Hour now. Thats good. Taking a live look outside, there is 76 right at south street. I bring up this camera because throughout the morning until just recently, we had a closure at south street for drivers headed eastbound on 76. That has cleared. Traffic is running smoothly past the south street exit. We also have construction on the pennsylvania turnpike. That was right around the nashomoy exit on the new jersey line. A 25minute drive both directions from route 1 to valley forge. Developing now, blistering wildfires are spreading across southern california, destroying homes and businesses. Some 200,000 people have already been forced to evacuate. And that numbers could go up. Nbc10s dray clark is following efforts to get a handle on those wildfires. At this point, this is still an uphill battle. Yeah. Good morning. Firefighters certainly have their hands full. Theyre just in the early end of the fight there. Its been four days of fighting relentless fires that are showing no signs of slowing down. There are now six massive wildfires burning in southern california. Thursday the department of forestry and Fire Protection issued a purple flag. The highest danger level. Its never been issued before. 5,500 firefighters are on the ground attacking the fire, but thats not enough to push the flames back. Thursday, strong santa ana winds gusting up to 70 Miles Per Hour pushed the fire farther, fanning embers and flames in every direction. The flames even moved into San Diego County thursday. The lilac fire wiped out an entire Retirement Community along with 4,000 acres, and its still burning. The largest of the wildfires remains in ventura county. The tonnis fire has charred more than 115,000 acres and 400 trucks were destroyed. Fire officials are still urging people in the fires to get out if theres even a remote possibility the fire could shift their way. We want to urge everyone to follow the principles of ready, set, go, for fire evacuations. I would urge everybody to be set. Have your stuff ready to go. Reporter the winds are expected to die down some today. Theres still a major threat looming with the fire barely contained. 20,000 homes are still in the path of the flames. A shooting in kensington sends two people to the hospital in critical condition. A woman was hit four times. A man was hit twice near the corner of g street and East Allegheny avenue. Investigators uncovered two weapons. No arrests have been made. This happened a few blocks from a deadly incident this week. Someone shot and killed a man at pointblank range on east madison early wednesday morning. A woman in Chester County says a man hit her during a roadrage incident as her two children watched the whole thing happen. The victim says she accidentally cut off the man while pulling into the Providence Town Center in Upper Providence township on monday. She says the man pulled up next to her and then got out of the car. I rolled down the window. My Immediate Reaction was to say, im so, is im so sorry. He became enraged and screaming. At that point, im like, theres kids in the car, please stop. I dont want sop. Shocking that he was doing that. Then with that, he leaned in and hit me right here. Police are asking for your help to identify this man. They describe him as a large man with thinning, white hair. He was dressed in a dark suit and driving a dark gray or navy chrysler 300. Happening today, President Trump will hold a campaignstyle rally to support Alabama Senate candidate roy moore. The rally will be in pensacola, florida, close to the Alabama State line. The president endorsed his fellow republican in week. In a tweet. Moore is involved of Sexual Misconduct involving teen girls. Hes denied the allegations. Hes running against doug moore in a special election tuesday. Minnesota senator al franken says he will step down at the end of the year as the Sexual Harassment issue continues to rock congress. I know in my heart that nothing i have done as a senators, nothing, has brought dishonor on this institution. Eight women have accused the democrat of unwanted touching, groping, and forcible kissing. Franken flatly denied the allegations and said its ironic hes leaving while President Trump is in office and roy moore runs for the senate while facing allegations of sexual assault. Congressman trent franks says he is resigning. A House Ethics Committee is investigating the republican for possible Sexual Harassment. In a statement, franks said that he made two women in his office uncomfortable back to you discussing his interest in finding a surrogate mother. This time yesterday there was quite an issue on 95 near woodhaven road. Fingers crossed, everything is looking good. This is 95 at girard. Closer to philadelphia. We typically see trouble spots creeping up around 6 30, 7 00, everything running smoothly. Light to moderate traffic on 95 in both directions. Moving into new jersey. Taking the 42 freeway northbound and getting on that ramp to 295 northbound, the ramp is blocked because of overnight construction. Weaver about 20 were about 20 minutes away from 6 00 which is when it should lift. That ramp is blocked. Ill let you know when the closure lifts and youre free and clear to go from 42 freeway to 295 northbound. A little further south on the 42 freeway, this is our live camera right at route 41. He has a rare terminal condition called batten disease with limited mobility and no vision. Someone wrote on the window, youre not handicapped. I was trying to make memories and have a Great Holiday season. Someone decided to be ugly and cruel. They were very motivated to see me up on the roof. A lot of them didnt think i was going to do it. I had a lot of kids asking me if it was for real.
