And we were talking about pockets of heavy rain and others would see the rain. This is whats been happening with heavier showers. Its been moving from delaware to now exiting to philadelphia. As this continues to track through the next hour or so notice where its going. Trenton around 11 15 or so. Atlantic city by noon here. This is moving around 20 Miles Per Hour as it continues to stretch to the northeast. Lets take a look at where some of the rain is currently falling. This is a good little downpour coming through trenton right now. It extends into here. This is past eastern township and then stretching closer to the shore you see another pocket of heavier stuff. Cape may county in the green and then a little break at the tip of cape may. Spotty showers lingering too. It is not the end of the rain even in the afternoon as this front continues to chug along. There will be a chance of strong to severe thunderstorms developing. Most wind gusts around 25 to 30 Miles Per Hour. You can see 28 in dover and you can see where the front is lining up. The winds converge and thats where the front is moving through. It will continue moving this way. It can fire off storms and as we get more into the afternoon hours we think the best chance will be over parts of new jersey for stronger activity we are a little warmer in Atlantic City and cooler north and west in the upper 60s for air i cant sreas allentown. Well stay pretty much where we are at. Once the cold front passes and clouds start to clear tomorrow much cooler temperatures. Well talk more about that coming up in a few minutes. Ill end here with mass transit. This is Something Else we have seen. This is because of a downed tree effecting trains between trenton and philadelphia. Amtrak running about 45 minutes delays. Because of the trenton line, because of that downed tree problem, excuse me. That train is cancelled and subject to tons of delays there too. All right. Thanks for that. To this disturbing discovery the victim was found on westmoreland street. Police say the woman had facial injuries and they are having a hard time identifying here. Police sources tell nbc 10 that a man was found shot to death in the backseat of a car outside of the school. School was just delayed. The district decided to cancel classes when detectives took longer than expected. A 15yearold boy said he bullets started taerg through him. His parents didnt wait for an ambulance. They raced him to the hospital in their own car. Police say the teen was hit twice and he is now in stable condition. Investigators recovered several bullet casings at the scene near the intersection. Police have no suspects right now. 6 and 1 and flying high. This is in hickory, north carolina. The National Weather service will be here to determine if a tornado hit. And this is north of greenville. Lets start with a look at satellite and radar. Check out that line of showers and storms driving all the way through our entire viewing area. The area has to move through are to the east. This is moving pretty quickly. I this i a few more storms may regenerate mostly over parts of south jersey here. This is moving a little bit faster than most of our models are indicating. As we go into tonight we could get rid of this moisture and temperatures will fall getting into wednesday. Lets look closely at where things are lining up. This is the heaviest rain. The good news is previously over parts of the Lehigh Valley we are no longer seeing that with these cells here. Still heavy rain down to trenton and moving into parts of new jersey. Burlington seeing a good bit of rain. This is to Galloway Township. The greens that you see is more of a light steady rain. It is not terribly wide. Things die out entirely. Many of us already have the ponding on some of the roadways, low lying spots because this has been moving on through for the last hour or two hours or so. This continues up against the coastline and then just brushing up against some of our delaware beaches too. I think whats going to happen is this is the main line. It will continue pressing to the east. A few more storms may fire off over parts of south jersey. It is upper 60s over the lancaster. I dont think temperatures will move around much more at all during our afternoon. Typically numbers would go up, up, up and we have had our high. We are still around there today. This warm air will be a thing of the past though. Again, these numbers that you see now, maybe a degree or two increased for a few spots. Thats about it in terms of our temperatures. Here are the hour by hour models. It is a little behind. It is showing the main line hitting almost to mercer county. Some times computer molds arent quite as fast as the actual system is. It is showing the line about 2 00 starting to strengthen a lit more. I think it will be closer to burlington and ocean county. A few stronger storms from about 2 00 to 4 00 p. M. Most of the rain will start moving offshore. I think it was a little delays in time line. Most will be off around 6 00 p. M. We will still have clouds in place. We will drop down some into your wednesday morning. Well have 50s on the map. Partly cloudy wednesday morning and clouds will start to thin in the afternoon. That is when well Start Talking about much cooler temperatures. This has been adjusted by the storm prediction center. Storms are driving by so quickly. Deeper green indicates an isolated strong to severe storm could develop. It could see some damage as a result of the stronger winds associated with it. Look at our wind gust forecasts. Still around 25 to 30 Miles Per Hour gusts, which is where we are right now. Fairly light overnight into our wednesday. Thats what we are expecting. Lets finish up here. As we go through the next few days temperatures staying right in the 70s. Tomorrow a high of only 67 degrees and then thursday that high is down to 60 degrees. We also see more sunshine in the days to come once it clears up. Okay. So you may need the umbrella today in the south jersey area. Yeah. We are watching the timing of the line moving through. Still have pockets of heavy rain and wind gusts. It will continue a couple of more hours and things will start to move off and go into techbing. And then the cool down. Yes. Of. This is a clearer picture than a couple of hours ago. Rain moved through. You could not see a thing it was coming down so heavily. Look at the radar and satellite view. Lehigh valley into delaware. Most of that has since died down. The yellows and the oranges is pockets of heavy rain thats moving through. It is nice and close. Its moving through about trenton. Pem b pemberton. This is where it will be heaviest or strongest. It has to displace all of the air. It picks up the speed as it hits the ground. This is where the gusts may be a little stronger. It does continue to extend farther south. More pocketed areas. You kbguys looking at heavier stuff. They have moved off the delaware beaches. This thing is moving fast. It is running much quicker than any computer model has tried to indicate. Thats a good sign. I think it will wipe out of here a little earlier. It means the chance for Severe Weather could go down. 36 Miles Per Hour wind gusts. It is 22 in wilmington. No surprise the winds are strongest here. The cold front the still lined up about here. We have time before the passage actually occurs and cooler air can filter in. We are at 70 right now. Maybe up to about 71 or 72 degrees. Mid70s for a few spots. Thats the best. As we get to about 5 00 p. M. Well start to dry things out. Well talk more about whaps ct e happens coming up. Keeping electric crews busy. There are more than 6,000 without power. The trees brought down power lines. Its presented a danger for drivers. Take a look on green tree road. We have tree cutting crews and emergency crews. Electric crews working to restore the power. Outages have closed schools here in south jersey. They shut to down about an hour ago. A large tree brought down wires. Police in Washington Township say they have been running from one scene to the next and relying to work quickly. Police say a large branch fell ton home. We just checked in and we know they have been dealing with winds up to 55 Miles Per Hour again bringing down the trees and utility polls. Power has been restored to about 10,000 customers across south jersey but as many as about 4,000 where we are right now. We know some of these storms could be active this afternoon. It is right in this area this is the line im talking about. This is heavier area of rachblt this is down to cape may county. This is not the entire line thats very heavy. Some areas are dump ago good bit of rain. It is out further rain. There is no rainfalling at this point in areas like chester and new castle county. Heavy rain has fallen through mercer county. That deep red, oh, thats heavy stuff. Burlington county is up against the more eastern edge of Burlington County up into ocean county. That line is more broken but continues south through Galloway Township and into cape may. This is heavier rain and could lead to minor street flooding and also stronger gusts. They will be right amongst this. I explained this in the last half hour. Some times you have to displace the air that its falling into so that air is gustier on the ground in those locations. Its likely happening in the yellows and reds. This is severe outlook for us. This is something ton National Level and best chance for severe storm development. It looked like conditions would be favorable. That was yellow. This has been downgraded into the green. This means theres a lower chance of severe storms in i ice an isolated thunderstorm could turn severe. This cold front is sitting here. This means that the front as it continues to pass might generate one or two more storms. I want to show you this model. It wants to give us generating storms. I think its going way too heavy with storm potential. I think if anything there might be a spot or two we could see strengthen. It is too heavy and it shows us timing. From 2 00 to 4 00 the cold front is starting to exit we could see one or two storms develop. Everything starts to move out around 6 00 or 7 00. We start to see breaks in the clouds. It will make for a more comfortable evening out there. Humidity will start to drop by tomorrow once we dry out. Lets lets talk about that. We are in the low phillies. Thats where well stay through the afternoon. By 6 00 or 7 00 p. M. We may see sunshine breaking through the clouds as things begin to dry on the backside of that cold front. We need the front to pass before we can get riz of all of this. Low 60s with some of that clearing as well. Lehigh valley starting to clear some out. That is following new jersey in the upper 60s and 70s as well. Low 70s near the shore. The shore one of the better chances where it may turn strong to severe in the afternoon. Again, this is a more isolated chance. This has outrun itself. It is 45 in the eegs store. Well be closer to seasonal average. Sunshine thursday into friday.
