People in the Lehigh Valley are running out of room for the donations. Medicaid funding would be cut and the states directly get that grant money and would get the option to opt out of many obamacare regulations. A big part of this is the employer mandate. Right now it requires companies to offer coverage. The new bill takes that away. And this afternoon, the ceo of one of the largest hospitals in our area is speaking out against the Graham Cassidy bill. The ceo of Childrens Hospital of philadelphia said, the Graham Cassidy bill is deaf stating for these kids. If the bill passes, these kids could lose coverage entirely. Today the mayor of philadelphia held a press conference opposing the current bill. They said that obamacare helped hundreds of thousands of people in philadelphia and goes beyond just patients. The Affordable Care act has enabled residents for treatment for Substance Abuse through the Medicaid Health care program. More than 200,000 philadelphians have gained Health Care Coverage through obamacare. Former new york congressman Anthony Weiner will spend nearly two years in prison for a sexting scandal. This is weiner walking inside the courtroom. He broke down crying telling the judge he was sick and this is his rock bottom. Weiner wills have to register as a sex offender. He pleaded guilty in may after sexting a 15yearold girl. Right now the white house is issuing other travel bans against more countries after the original ban expired last night. The family of a 93yearold filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the rehab center where their father lived who died due to extreme heat.
