I will let you know about the warming trend that will send us into the 90s. Thats coming up. New this morning a transformer fire in center city caused problems on two septa lines. The transformers between 13th and 15th streets on Market Street blew just after 8 30 and smoke filled the subway and the marketfrankford el. The broad street line and the marketfrankford line have resumed service. Investigators in Cape May County are trying to figure out what caused this house fire. You can see the damage done. Last night firefighters had to rescue seven people from the flames. Jesse gary has been live the scene all morning long. Jesse, youre learning more about the folks who were staying in this duplex for the holiday. Tell us about it. Thats right this was the first weekend down the shore this summer. And then shortly after arriving this happened. Now are sifting through wreckage to see what could be salvaged. We have cell phone video faken by another vacationer staying across from the scene. Officials say they responded within minutes to flames that forced seven people inside this home to run to a third floor patio and wait to be rescued. The first weekend provided the kind of excitement nobody wants, now their stay is over. Bring everything down, get all settled. Maybe their first day. Just to have to leave. Your vacation disrupted. Watching people at the end collect their belongings things, and leave. Its hard. Its a hard its scary. Its scary for them. I know what its like. I went through it. Its difficult the families. Really is. Heart goes out to them. All seven victims are recovering from smoke inhalation at shore medical center. Firefighters rescued several cats from bottom floor. Theyre all sid to be okay. One firefighter suffered a laceration over his right arm as he was participating in mopup operations. Put his arm through a window and got cut by jagged glass. Thats the extent of the injuries. In Atlantic City fire crews are investigating flames that flared up in the dunes near the boardwalk last night. Take a look. Oh my gosh. A viewer sent us this video from dr. Martin luther king boulevard right at the boardwalk. Early reports say that fireworks are to blame for these flames. Well keep you posted on it. A 17yearold girl is dead after she was stabbed several times in philadelphias hunting park neighborhood. The attack happened around 3 30 this morning in the parking lot of this walgreens he hospital where she plater died. Police have not made any arrests in the case. Today marks one year since a massive fire gutted a street in southwest philadelphia. The gesner street fire claimed the lives of four Young Children and left nearly half the block in charred shambles. Much of that destruction remains today. The fire started on a couch on the porch of of the row homes it was early in the morning last july 5th. The flames quickly spread downsidents to jump from their homes. Four Young Children could not escape. Brothers Patrick Sanyeah and taj jacque died along with 4yearold twins, maria and marialla bowah. Nbc 10s digital team returned to the block to find the homes are standing but theyre burned out and boarded up. Neighborhood leaders say they feel abandoned by the landlords who own the houses and the city of philadelphia. As much as you feel youre accomplishing something, you walk out your door, you see this its like youre not getting anywhere. And what can we do . You know . We expected the city to do something. I believe the city has given the owners a chance do their part. This happened last night along south 53rd street in kingsessing. Detectives are trying to determine what led up to the violence as they continue to search for the gunman. In kensington, police say that a shooter left his victim for dead in the middle of the sidewalk. This is the scene on east stella street where the shooting happened around 1 00 this morning. cn in burlington county, a 13yearold girl is dead after the atv she was driving collided with another atv. This happened yesterday afternoon near oswego lake in washington township. Emergency crews took two others to the hospital including a child. The victims name has not been released yet. Today philadelphias first ever youth pride event will be held in center city. The daylong celebration is for lgbtq youth and friends under 24 years old. It features a series of workshops beginning at 11 00 a. M. At the William Way Community center on spruce street followed by an afternoon of outdoor festivities including music, performances and games. That coincides with the last day of the national lgbt 50th anniversary celebration in philadelphia. Today there will be a street festival and parties. Yesterday crowds gathered on independence mall, thats where gay and lesbian activists demonstrated 50 years ago laying the foundation for the organized lgbt Civil Rights Movement. The anniversary celebration comes a week after samesex couples were granted the constitutional right to marry. While many are celebrating the milestone, others say there is still work to be done like ensuring all states have lgbt hate crime laws on the books. Marriage equality is a Great Success and something for us to celebrate, but we still have a lot of work to do, we still are not equal americans in all ways. We have a lot of work to do. The coast guard is searching for three people who are missing after a boat capsized on the ohio river. At least two people were killed. Nine people in total were celebrating the fourth of july on a pontoon boat when it capsized spilling everyone into the water. Three kids and adult were found alive and pulled to safety. They are being treated at area hospitals. The National Park service is warning North Carolina beachgoers to be extra cautious while swimming in the ocean because of the recent surge in shark attacks. Seven people have been injured by sharks off the coast of North Carolina this season. Already surpassing the previous high of four set last year. Each attack happened in just waist deep water. This weekend many beachgoers are taking in the sun and sand, but are avoiding the surf altogether. I just have a fear of sharks in general. After hearing the news footage about it, i just dont feel the need. Its quite all right. I will get cooled off by dipping my toes in. In the worst incident, a teenage boy and girl each lost an arm in attacks that took place. They both happened about 90 minutes apart. Lets head to california where folks enjoying their fourth of july on the beach were in disbelief to see a small train make a crash landing in front of them. Officials say the plane went down in carlsbad after it lost engine power. A witness captured this video. You can see the plane come in for a hard landing. It then flips over. The pilot was not hurt, but a 12yearold boy got clipped by the plane and had to go to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. More than a dozen people are hurt after a deck collapsed in North Carolina over the weekend. Investigators say a family was posing for a Group Picture when the deck gave way.
