There were other displays tonight including this one in montgomery county. Those fireworks capped off day of events including a parade of more than 1,000 shells were launched to make this display one to remember. It really had a blast on the battleship tonight. Check out the fireworks launch over the delaware river. People on both sides had great view. Spectators were able to watch from the deck of the uss new jersey. In delaware we caught another display of american pride. These colorful glass were seen over the river in wilmington from our camera at the blue rock stadium. Police made an arrest in the murder of an elderly philadelphia woman and the suspect is a well known local handyman. Homicide detectives u. S. Marshals and local Police Arrested 37yearold leroy wilson and his girlfriends house in norristown. Hes charged in the death of 85yearold regina brunner. She was found dead inside her home. Investigators say she was beaten and stabbed. Neighbors tell us they are hoping police have their man. Im glad hes off the street. I pray that prosecution and all the detectives evidence prove without a shadow of a doubt that hes the one. Police say wilson has a violent and lengthy criminal history with more than 20 arrests in florida and philadelphia. A 13yearold girl is dead after the atv she was driving collided with another. Police say two other people were taken to the hospital including a child. A fourth person was not hurt. That victims name has not yet been released. This Independence Day philadelphia is marking another milestone. 50 years ago today gay and lesbian activists laid the foundation for the lgbt Civil Rights Movement by demonstrating. They gathered to mark the anniversary. It comes a week after gays and lesbians were granted the constitutional right to marry. The officers fired their weapons killing him. Both of those officers have been placed on administrative duty. Tomorrow marks one year since a massive fire gutted several row homes in southwest philadelphia killing four young children. That fire started on a couch on the porch of one of the homes. It quickly spread down the block. The brothers died along with 4yearold twins. Nbc 10 digital team returned to that block to see how the neighbors are coping with that disaster.
