Waterville manufacturing plant settles OSHA complaint with $220,000 in penalties

A Waterville truck body manufacturing plant has agreed to pay $220,000 in workplace safety penalties to settle complaints by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Formerly known as F3 MFG Inc., The Shyft Group Duramag LLC is located at a 150,000-square-foot facility at 977 West River Road. An Oct. 1 OSHA inspection led to the plant being cited March 29 for three willful and 10 serious violations. According to the settlement agreement, The Shyft Group Duramag LLC agreed to correct its violations and pay the penalty within 15 days of the agreement dated April 22.
