Severe floods that have been wreaking havoc for residents and motorists in Michigan are hitting the automotive industry, submerging new vehicles in some areas and halting production in others.
Video footage of a shipping yard at the Stellantis Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) shows dozens, if not hundreds, of vehicles submerged up to their roofs in the facility-turned-Waterworld.
The nearby plant is responsible for the production of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Cherokee SRT, and Dodge Durango SUVs, but the yard also regularly holds vehicles like the Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, Dodge minivans, Dodge trucks, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the Grand Cherokee L before they’re shipped to dealers.
