Washburn senior nets gold in cabinetmaking

WASHBURN, Maine -- Kyle Thurston, a senior at Washburn District High School, earned a gold medal in the SkillsUSA cabinetmaking contest.

Thurston has been eager to be in the shop anytime he can, school officials said.
