Virtual event on NH wooden bridges at Kensington Library

The virtual event will take place at 7 p.m. via the online platform Zoom. 
Knoblock’s presentation focuses on wooden bridges which have been a vital part of the New Hampshire transportation network since the early 1800s. He will discuss covered bridge design, technology and their designers, builders, and associated folklore.  
Knoblock has a bachelor of art’s in history from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Since his move to New Hampshire over 30 years ago, he has specialized in researching and writing about a variety of aspects of Granite State history. He is also an independent scholar and author of 12 books and over 70 articles; author and historian on projects relating to Northern New England bridges, New Hampshire history and African American military history; serving as the main military contributor to Harvard and Oxford University's landmark African American Biography Project.
