For the newly bereaved, the days immediately following the funeral of a loved one are often among the most difficult to bear. As the world seemingly continues as "normal", mourners exist in a vacuum of disbelief, ushered along by family, friends and officials charged with tying up loose ends.

Since Prince Philip's internment so beautifully executed last weekend it will have been no different for the Queen. Granted, she's surrounded by a loyal and devoted retinue willing to relieve her of the more arduous tasks, still there are personal decisions only she can make. After 73 years of unwavering loyalty, her late husband's funeral illustrated her desire to honour his every last wish.
