Veteran TV host Joey de Leon tells aspiring painters: 'You think about the painting'

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 6) — Veteran TV host Joey de Leon is reminding aspiring painters that having good artistic skills does not only involve hand techniques, but also thinking about your artwork and how this will affect your audience.

Lahat tayo marunong mag-pinta, ang problema, marunong ba tayong magisip ng ipini-pinta natin at pagiisipin mo rin ba iyong mga titingin sa pininta mo. Iyon ang importante,” he told CNN Philippines’ Newsroom Weekend.
[Translation: We all know how to paint, the problem is do we know how to think about what we are painting and will we make our audience think about our painting. That is what is important.]
