Upgrades planned for Ind. 46 intersections west of Ellettsville

Road west of Ellettsville to see passing lane fix, intersection projects

ELLETTSVILLE — The state highway department has plans down the road to improve the safety of several intersections along Ind. 46 between Ellettsville and Spencer, but there's one that is getting immediate attention: the KeHE entrance.
Earlier this year, a new passing lane was built to make room for a turn lane at the entrance to the just-built KeHE distribution warehouse in the 8100 block of Ind. 46 west of Ellettsville.
Because the highway is just one lane each direction, traffic had been backing up as semis waited to turn into the 60-acre warehouse site.
