Unrest in Afghanistan to hit entire region: Governor Sarwar

LAHORE:Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that Afghan Vice-President Amrullah's negative propaganda against Pakistan is a conspiracy against peace in the region. Afghan government is hiding its failures but it will not succeed in its plan. Pakistan supports all Afghans for peace.
He stated this while talking to Provincial Minister for Excise Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed, MNA of Tehreek-e-Insaf Faizullah Kamak and media representatives at Badshahi Masjid after offering Eid prayers.
Governor said that Pakistan had sacrificed more than 70,000 lives in the war against terrorism for establishment of peace in the region, adding that even today Pakistan, under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, is playing its role in the Afghan peace process with sincerity. He said that the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan would not only affect Afghanistan but the entire region. He said, in these circumstances, Afghan government officials' criticism on the government of Pakistan for covering up their failures is a vicious act that deserves condemnation. He called upon the Afghan government to mend its ways instead of pointing fingers at others so that peace could prevail in the region.
