Lincoln Community Theatre
Live theater in Lincoln will return this summer after taking a hiatus due to the pandemic. Lincoln Community Theatre Board president Brandon Davis said he was thrilled by the work that is being done to bring two family shows back to the stage in 2021.
First a youth theater production called “The Grunch” will open at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday June 25 and 26 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 27 in the auditorium at Lincoln Community High School. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students. Based on the story of “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas,” “The Grunch” tells the story of Rudy Grunch, a grumpy 6th grader who always feels like an outsider. When the entire school gets excited about the annual school musical, he comes up with a perfect plan to ruin it for everyone; he’ll steal the sets, costumes and lights the night before it opens. But will the spirit of theatre prevail?
