(Miami, FL) -- Storm warnings are expanding ahead of the arrival of Tropical Storm Elsa. Weather conditions will start to deteriorate in the Florida Keys and forecasters say some areas could get hit with one to three-feet of storm surge. The center of Elsa is expected to track along Florida's Gulf Coast, before making a turn to the north-northeast. Even though a direct hit is unlikely, emergency planners in Southside, Florida are racing to demolish the remains of a condo tower that partially collapsed more than a week ago.
Elsa is expected to generate dangerous weather conditions across most of the Florida peninsula through Wednesday.
