Whatever new buildings come up along Rajpath in New Delhi, the greenery should remain
Most of the official along the Central Vista in New Delhi are dull and dismal, if not downright ugly. Their saving grace are the tall trees that not only add depth and warmth, in some cases they obscure large sections of the buildings from our long-suffering eyes. Indeed, had it not been for the glorious greenery along the boulevards of what is now called Lutyens’ Delhi, the buildings’ distinct lack of beauty would have been more glaring.
