Aircare responded to a serious crash with four people hurt early wednesday, according to boone county dispatchers. Four vehicles collided on kentucky 237 at wright boulevard about 5 20 a. M. , she said. The impact ripped the roof off one of the vehicles, a honda accord. Boone county sheriffs officials said the accords female driver was heading the wrong way on kentucky 237 when she struck two vehicles. Then she proceeded to continue driving the wrong way and struck an oncoming pickup truck, said tom scheben, sheriffs spokesman. The male driver of the pickup truck was trapped inside caught fire. He was rescued by First Responders who pulled him from the truck. He suffered severe leg injuries and was driven by ambulance to university of cincinnati medical center, according to the Sheriffs Office. The driver of the accord was trapped inside and had to be crews. She was two other people who were hurt were taken to st. Elizabeth hospital. The names and conditions of all the injured were not released. Kentucky 237 remains shut down while the Sheriffs Office continues to investigate.
