A shroud of grief and saddness continues to hang over the Chesapeake Community after a tragic discovery. Police found several members of the dooley family murdered. As People Struggle to understand what led to this horrific murdersuicide, lovedones and even strangers are remembering the dooleys in the best way they can. Rico, katie, don, tomorrow family and friends are scheduled to hold a second vigil to pay respects once more to a family loved and cherished by many in the communty. Last night, hundreds of loved ones, neighbors, Police Officers, and even total strangers came together to remember the dooley family at Temple Baptist church, the church they attended for years. Family and friends say the dooleys dedciated their lives to religion, education and safety of their city and had deep connections within the community. Neighbors say the family touched so many lives they were compelled to tell us about the mark the family left on the community and the reminder to always tell your family how much much you love them. Thats when officers went to check todd dooleys home on wildwood road. They found his son 22yearold landon shot to death. Then wednesday evening their investigation led them to this home on George Washington highway. Here officers began their standoff with the suspected gunman 26yearold Cameron Dooley. After several hours of trying to negotiate with home around 2 10 thursday morning and found cameron and his mother, father, sister, and grandmother dead. This morning is sure to be another emotional one for loved ones after they learned several family members died in that tragedy. Police say Cameron Dooley turned a gun on his family, before shooting and killing himself. The biggest question many are struggling with today, is why . Officers have not been able to give us that answer yet, but told us it started as a domestic incident. In total, six lives were lost. Police say cameron killed his father, todd; mother, lori; brother, landon; and sister, brooke. New this morning, the fbi released video showing the deadly traffic stop involving armed protesters in oregon. Agents released this video from a helicopter above the situation in burns. They say Lavoy Finicums vehicle tried to go around a roadblock and got stuck in a snowbank. Officials say they shot finicum when he got out of the truck and reached for his pocket. The fbi said there was a loaded semi automatic handgun in that pocket. The occupation over federal buildings is not over. At least four people remain inside the wildlife refuge. Chesapeake police tell us emergency crews found a body after crews put out a house fire in south norfolk. Officers are investigating and have not yet released the victims cause of death or how the fire started. It happened around noon thursday on hoover avenue. The homeowner tells us she was at work when the fire started. She and neighbors confirmed the victim is an elderly woman. But by the time i came back it was so much fire and so much smoke. I couldnt get in there. 58 the homeowner says the woman was living with her on a temporary basis for a few months. She said the victim does not have any family in the area. New this morning we have a followup to a local coast guardsman charged with killing a petty officer an injuring two others in massachusetts a lawyer for chesapeake native adrian loya says he pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Prosecutors say loya forced his way into the home of two female coast guards in bourne in february of last year. They say he killed one of them and shot a responding officer. Loyas attorney said an independent psychiatric evaluation found his client did not understand his actions were wrong. Loya is currently being held in a state Mental Health facility.
