As People Struggle to understand what led to this horrific murdersuicide, lovedones and even strangers are remembering the dooleys in the best way they can. Last night, hundreds of loved ones, neighbors, Police Officers, and even total strangers came together to remember the dooley family at Temple Baptist church, the church they attended for years. Family and friends say the dooleys dedciated their lives to religion, education and safety of their city and had deep connections within the community. Prosecutors say loya forced his way into the home of two female coast guards in bourne in february of last year. They say he killed one of them and shot a responding officer. Loyas attorney said an independent psychiatric evaluation found his client did not understand his actions were wrong. Loya is currently being held in a state Mental Health facility. Thats when officers went to check todd dooleys home on wildwood road. They found his son 22yearold landon shot to death. Then wednesday evening their investigation led them to this home on George Washington highway. Here officers began their standoff with the suspected gunman 26yearold Cameron Dooley. This morning is sure to be another emotional one for loved ones after they learned several family members died in that tragedy. Police say Cameron Dooley turned a gun on his family, before shooting and killing himself. The biggest question many are struggling with today, is why . Officers have not been able to give us that answer yet, but told us it started as a domestic incident. In total, six lives were lost. Police say cameron killed his father, todd; mother, lori; brother, landon; and sister, brooke. Our sources also confirmed dooley killed his grandmother, doris hundreds of loved ones, neighbors, Police Officers, and even total strangers came together to remember the dooley family. Were working to learn victims left on their community. 17yearold Brooke Dooley was a cheerleader at deep creek high school. Her father todd was a retired Chesapeake Marine Police officer. His friend told us he was a, church going, good family man and loved his work. Todds strong faith came from his parents. Many people told us doris dooley was invovled with Temple Baptist. Dozens in the community told 10 on your side they had to show up to the vigil last night to pay their respects to the dooley family because they touched so the lives. It comes about a month after attorney general mark herring announced some concealed carry permits were not valid in virginia. As part of the governors deal, democrats will not revoke reciprocity agreements with 25 states for concealed handgun permits. And in exchange, republicans will include a measure that would not allow people with permanent protective orders against them to have a gun. Agents released this video from a helicopter above the situation in burns. They say Lavoy Finicums vehicle tried to go around a roadblock and got stuck in a snowbank.
