The way we heard her screaming on the phone, it was an emergency. Reporter the woman inside of the house and three hers awoke to the smoke alarm and made it out alive only to sit and watch helplessly as the intense flames destroyed their home and family. A 6yearold boy and his grandmother were lost. The entire home was engulfed in flames. Reporter 55 firefighters from charles and prince georges counties battled the blaze. According to the fire marshal, it arrived 13 minutes after that 911 call. Bill smith with Charles County fire says it does take time to wind through the long country roads but the construction of this single story modular home didnt help, either.
