We know that two vehicles were involved. They were gustod away from the scene just towed away from the scene and outbound lanes are open and inbound is still closed here on suitland parkway. S in what we know what happened. Police say a person driving that volvo tboned another person driving the bmw. Now the driver of the volvo then got out and ran. Police arrested him a short time later, he probably only got a couple of blocks away. Then police say the two people inside the bmw were taken to the hospital. The driver expected to be okay. The passenger however pronounced dead at the scene. Overnight it has been a massive cleanup effort here on suitland parkway. And police have been here reconstructing the scene and now they just towed away the vehicles. So if you are commuting through here in this area, i can tell you the outbound lanes are clear and open to go on suitland. Inbound is still closed but it looks like they are about to open it up anytime. A federal Law Enforcement source tells cbs news that the number of people affected could reach 14 million. More than three times as many as were initially suspected. Including some fbi and cia employees. The Largest Federal Employee Union said thursday it believes the hackers are now in possession of all Personnel Data for every federal employee. Every federal retiree and up to one million former federal employees. The union says the data stolen includes Social Security numbers, age, military records, addresses, pay history and more. Scouring areas of dense forests and tough terrain. The latest tip has brought them within miles of the Clinton Correctional Facility where richard matt and david sweat broke free. We need to search underneath every rock and behind every tree until we locate these guys. Reporter sources tell cbs news that dogs picked up the fugitives scent in the area. In the woods, police discovered food wrappers, bedding and a footprint. The scene is playing out right in darlenes front yard. With them right in front of my house, it makes me feel a little more at ease. Reporter prison Officials Say the convicted killers used heavy tools and Construction Equipment to cut through a steel wall and steam pipes. Local engineer and Steel Workers jeffers has done work at the facility. He said the two men must have been proficient with the tools or had help. Either theyre very good at what they do, with a lot of good training, or they had some very good equipment. Or somebody else cut the hole for them. The driver of the volvo got out and ran and only got a couple of blocks and police were able to arrest him. The driver of the bmw taken to the hospital. The driver the passenger rather of the bmw was taken to the hospital as well and passenger did not make it. They were from pounced dead at the hospital. The driver is expected to be just fine. No word yet on charges for the driver of that volvo but police did recover a gun from their vehicle. But once again, if you are commuting through here this morning, it is just fine here. From underwater, the red crabs look like lobsters. Spreading their pinchers like an ocean monster. Ball went right there and we were like oh dont want to go grab it. Beachgoers tiptoeing around the crabs, curious pups dont know what to think of the krusation. My dog eats like 35 every time hes out here. They pinch him on the tongue. The invasion doesnt happen often. They live in the warm open waters down in baja feeding off plankton. We see this occur every few years. And right now, the water is a little bit warmer off our coast. Some believe its el nino thats simpling in the red crabs last month the tuna crabs washed ashore in Pacific Beach before that, cbs news 8 features the crabs appearance in 2002 and then in 1997 preceding the last el nino. The third person was taken to the hospital not cooperating and not talking to police. Now for the victims vehicle, the driver and the passenger were both taken to the hospital.
