The Prince Georges County Fire Department is dealing with multiple fires that were suspected to be intentionally set on the fifth floor of that high rise. Were giving you a live picture om our chopper. In the distance there are lights in the middle of your screen on the right, plenty of emergency screws on scene now. Crews on scene right now. Mola lenghi is on his way. We take you now to northeast d. C. Where there was a double shooting right outside the Antioch Baptist Church in the 5000 block of lee street. Within cops got there, they found two men when the cops got there, they found two men, one dead, the other rushed to the hospital and has since dead. Its unclear if these two men knew each other or if anybody else was involved. When we get more information, well bring it to you. Weve also got breaking news out of Prince Georges County. Police stopped a car in Seat Pleasant tonight, discovered a passenger shot and wounded. At one point the driver of that pulled over car allegedly made some moves that led a Police Officer pull his own weapon and open fire. Reporter just a few hundred feet from the Convenience Store where two women were shot, one killed last week in woodbridge, tonight police are trying to be all over this community passing out flyers among other things, reminders a killer is out there. It took nine seconds to kill glenda coca romero. Three men burst into the Grocery Store in woodbridge last friday, shot her, another woman and ran out. Its very difficult. I dont think any of us can make sense of it. Reporter tell us what the last couple days have been like. Really hard. Just rumors people even afraid to come here. The employees, my coworkers, they also are kind of afraid because theyre afraid maybe he comes back. Weve got some leads but have not made an arrest. Reporter Police Caused a traffic jam friday night. They stopped cars, passed out flyers. They went to homes and popped in stores asking if anyone has seen or heard anything since this 21yearold mother was shot and killed. She was devoted to her infant child and to her job. She was working. Reporter work and family, thats it. Thats it. Just for the baby. Reporter one other woman, a 42yearold store employee, was also shot. Shes recovering. Two customers inside were unarmed, but its the three suspects that are keeping police busy. We are hoping maybe one of the three who was involved maybe didnt plan for it to go this way and may have a conscience and step up and do the right thing. Reporter if not, they hope store surveillance camera, witnesses and word of mouth will be on their side because time may not be. Time is difficult. Sometimes its not on your side, but it does matter. Sometimes it is. You just never know when the information might come. Reporter police hope time is on their side, but obviously theyd like a break sooner than later. Thats why theyre reaching out to the public asking anyone with any sort of information to help them out and give them a call. Police have made an arrest in the murder of a 17yearold high school student. Jonathan adams was stabbed yesterday in the 4300 block of halle terrace in southeast d. C. Was arrested this afternoon charged with Second Degree murder while armed. Tell us what youve learned. Reporter firefighters just said they just put out those fires. They were on the fifth floor of that building. Behind me ladders extend up to the higher floors. They made some balcony rescues and as you said, firefighters say those fires on the fifth floor were intentionally set. Several small fires is the way they described them. Obviously they had to make some of those higher level unit rescues. They asked residents to come onto their balconies so they could access them. Everyone else on the lower floors were telling to shelter in place. You can see a very active scene. Theyve got the entire road shut down, but as we said, firefighters just said they finished fighting those fires. Now theyre in a ventilation process trying to ventilate some of those higher up floors. They got people out in enough time and will be investigating what they describe again as some intentionally set fires here in Prince Georges County.
