Good morning last time around i told you about disable train along the warminster Regional Rail line. Just more information from septa. Ill bring in on the phone ron hopkins from septa headquarters, good morning are you there . Yes bob good morning. Morning. Give me idea exactly tell our folks whats happening . We have downed wires across one of the Regional Rail trains . Yes we had an inbound train over 500 passengers coming from warminster. And pass rosalynn station we did have the wires come down and the train became disabled. So right now we have a train thats standing without power you know, on our warminster line. Now, ron, whats the game plan here . I actually received a tweet from one of the passengers on that train who said that theyre sitting here stuck. And the back and forth with her couple of times. She said the mood is kind of calm. Everybody is calm, cool and collected. They were told that their wires are on top of the train. Now, are those wires hot . Are they live at this time . The wires are live, i mean, we have weaver deenergized but still have power in them. Until we grounds the wires the safety of the people on that train are top priority. You know our crews are very, you know, good at keeping people informed and trained to make sure that all of the passengers are safe. So we do have force that is are on the ground right now to assess the situation and to grounds our wires and we have three different rescue plans basically waiting there for us to be able to get in there safely to remove the passager. So whats the game plan then . Go out there you assess the situation, 500 people on the train here. Is there a diesel train thats going to pull these 500 passengers to the closest station . Are there buses getting lined up . Exactly whats going through your minds at this point . We have three, we know we will not be able to move the equipment. So we have three different alternatives. You know the first one we do have ten buses that are basically on stand by, that if we were able to get the people off the bus or off the train we would, you know, put them on the buses and take them into their destination preferred move is that we have another train that is sitting basically right outside of the trouble area that once we can secure the area, we will transfer the people from the one train the disable train on to the new train. And then take them into town as a regular, you know train and then our third option, which is also sitting on the side lines, we have a diesel train, that or Diesel Engine that we can hook up and pull the train out. So, you know, each one of them, you know, may cause take some time to get people safely off the train but were waiting for the scene to be secure from safety standpoint and then affect one of the three rescue options. So at this. 500 folks on that train i can only assume with all of the precautions youre taking as long as they stay put follow directions and stay in that train everybody will be okay . Thats the message we want to get out bob. Safety is our priority for those passengers. And, you know, we are in a position to rescue them, and minimize the inconvenience that theyre experiencing right now and we are hoping to be able to be able to do that within the next 15 to 20 minutes. That was a went their broke so many of us where you were just it was so many storms, the kids are never going to school, they went away on winter break then after that from christmas break they were off it seemed like every single week, didnt have a full week until we goat into march and april. A lot of people had booked flights out of town, they had marked it on the calendar like june 15th, but then the school year spilled in past. That will i cant remember the specific dates. So, these competitions are huge all around the country, but last week, students at true bright Science Academy beat out 47 other robotic teams at the first Regional Lego League championships. They parities pated in this all day long event at the university of pennsylvania. And, good day good morning you are here and it is so nice to meet you. Congratulations. Well, this is our first year attending in this competition. In the first year. Congratulations. How was that. We are expect to go come in at first. It was tough for us, and it was our first year and and, lets see, we have an Award Winning robot. I am not so sure here. But does it have a name. Well, we discussed the name, i think the name should be tank,. They are shaking their head, your teammates are shaking their head right the now. It would break all of these pieces out. Wow. So described this robot then. It looks pretty intricate then. Yes, this robot it has got wheels on the side. Okay. It has got wheels on the side so it can role. It a has a lift gade. It shoots the ball out, and, we used some motors for the wheels, and it looks yeah. Wow. So we just showed an overhead shot here, it looks like a play matt here. Is this an aerobics course kind of a thing. Yes good what is it made out of. Legos, each and every piece has a certain amount of legos in each one. Show us what it can do tank or whatever it is that you voted on you are still deciding. I will start off here. So, the the robot will go, and it will push this to the side. Here we go, let me show you this. Who is controlling it then. Well, we have programmed gram it, to do this kind of stuff, rather than remote controlled, it is programs to go a certain amount of rotations and we would program it to turn and then come back. So, here in the red phrase is a red color. We have put up a different pete. They will hell you out here. Yeah. We will put on that piece and run the other program, and there we go. How sit power, do you have to charge it or batteries in there. Just batteries in there. How long does it take to build a robot like this. It took a couple months. Do you see that. Taking the the rains. Yes, extracted the ring out of the box there. What else can they do can it play soccer. Yeah,. That ace goal in the middle. Yes. Right here. It can go around and shoot a ball in the goal there. So heres is one right here. Push that 90 degrees. One thing it is not a remet control. I dont see anybody controlling it, they have just programmed it so they know what to do. Yes, that is something. Come here take the shot. It was a pretty good shot though. Does it need to have a matt. I see it over here. Normally there is a screen around it but here is there no screen. We cant show a full potential of the robot. Do they have you guys come and they have mats set up and you just let them go or what. Yeah, we have two in minutes and 30 seconds to do as many obstacle is a as we can. So that was just one example of one. We want a good look see it, all stand in line to bring you the award over because we have three of the four person team here. So we have zubeer, we have juzi a.
