My pick of the day, if youre looking for Something Different than last weeks mess on the Regional Rails, try the market frankford or the broad street subway. We had no issues at all last week. A group of handcuffed men broke out of their cell after the guard who was on duty lost consciousness. He was having a heart attack. The inmates began yelling for help. When deputies arrived, they had no idea what was going on. Chaos. I was worried they going to come with their guns drawn on us. It never crossed my mind whether hes got a gun or badge, if he falls down ill help him. Ten, 15 minutes before any other staff, any other Sheriffs Office or county personnel had walked in there and found him. Paramedics were able to get a pulse after shocking the guard with paddles. They say he likely would have died if the inmates hadnt called for help and now hes recovering. Heres the bigger question. How did they get out . If its that easy . It be a concern . Septa is using a new modified schedule on its Regional Rail. You got check this out. Hopefully lines will be a little bit shorter. Another protest expected to start in about a half hour from now in center city part of the ongoing rallies around the country from the wake of the Police Involved shootings in louisiana and minnesota. As well as the Police Ambush in dallas. Well take you there live when it starts. Listen to this folks. We schedule our Weather Forecast on a one to 10 scale. Uhhuh. We have a 10. We dorm it do. Its double digits. Boat already to go. 50 and 60s a comfortable start this morning. Were seeing sun and clouds out there as you see in olde city right now, 69 degrees with relative humidity of 63 percent. Going up to 87 for a high today. Seasonable with that northerly breeze so humidity should stay low all day long. But when is it coming back . Well tell you in the sevenday forecast which is just ahead and bob kelly is here right now, biggest problem today is sun glare. Yeah, definitely sun glare and i think everybody is back after that holiday vacation week. Heres a live look at the blue route 476, already stacked and packed between route one and i95. Burlington bristol in the middle of an opening as i told you. It was set for 7 25. Right on time. So traffic stopped on both sides of the river there. That protest scheduled 8 oclock city hall. Look out if youre coming into downtown. Were down there live. Well take you there in a moment. North on the freeway heavy from the Atlantic City expressway all the way in toward route 55. All because of an Early Morning accident. And if youre looking for Something Different my pick for the day would be the market frankford or broad street subway. Free parking at the frankford transportation center, the Naval Hospital. Trains are running every eight to 10 minutes and weve had no problems or delays all through last week. So again, still some headaches on the Regional Rails. But there is an option for you, the market frankford or the subway. Mike and alex, back over to you. Thank you bob. 7 32. The nation is still coming to grips with the events of last week. The killings of two black men at the hands of white Police Officers sparking protests across the country and the ambush of Police Officers during one of those protests in dallas, texas where five officers were killed, seven others hurt along with two civilians. Last weeks events leaving leaders across its country trying to come up with a solution to bridge the gap between police and the communities they serve. Safe neighborhoods in which theres also a sense of justice and fairness for the people who reside in those neighborhoods and for the Police Officers that work in those neighborhoods. Thats the goal. And i think were working toward it but unfortunately we continue to have some issues arise. Well, some say issues others say were very far from ofteachieving that goal. Im large black man. Im threatening to a lot of people. People think ime doing something just because of the way i look and if i get angry at all or i respond with anything less than absolute humility, if i show any aggression i could be that person thats killed. To talk about the events of the pam past week we have lieutenant rogers from the west deptford Police Department and captain from the Burlington City Police Department. Before we get started lets give a shoutout to nicholas. Who is nicholas. Nicholas smith is my son, hes in the navy deployed to japan. Good morning, boy, get up, cut the grass. Youre not going to put him to work. Yes, i am. Chores we have to do and everything. Thank you for your service in japan. Yes, thank you. So, what do you say after wednesday, thursday, friday of last week. What do you what are you talking about with your colleagues. It definitely is a tragedy. Its sad and something has to change and its upon us to start the change, you know. We work for the public not the other way around. Time to roll your sleeves up and we got work to do. Well, i saw some of the protestors here in north philadelphia over the weekend screaming at a black officer. Youre a traitor. How do you respond to that . Part of the job is you have to take criticism right and you have to dig deep in yourself and know was stand for and what you believe in and you have to look at both sides of the picture and myself as a black officer, you know, i see this in the wider lens. For example, back home theres been several shootings in my own neighborhood. We received no phone calls about any information on the shooter. So, theres this level of i guess hypocrisy that youre going to see as a black officer and it makes you frustrated. But you dont give up you just put the badge back on go to work the next day and keep pushing. Captain you feel like the police should make the first step and if you do agree what should that first step be to bring everybody together. I think its communication. I think that theres misconception that you have to be a black officer to work in a black neighborhood and thats how you receive your respect. Its not about your skin color if youre a Police Officer. If you work in a predominantly africanamerican neighborhood, theyre going to judge you by the way that you treat people not by the color of your skin so i think one thing thats really big misconception is that just because youre an africanamerican officer doesnt mean that youre necessarily be respected immediately in the africanamerican neighborhood. Its how you treat people and youll be judged on how that occurs, not by the color of your skin. Do you think its really quickly past incidents though because of whats happened when it comes to africanamericans in the communities versus other people in the community how theyve been treated when it can comes to arrests. I think its factual that there has been racial profiling in the past that there has been a sense of racism in the past so as a new generation administrator coming up we want to make sure that wall is broken down by opening up communication and by, you know, meeting with the residents to see what their concerns are to make sure that the concerns are being addressed but also make sure theres a sense of trust within the community. Do you think we finally have made that turn now that africanamericans for decades have said this has been going on and what did it take, cell phone video to finally verify that its really going on . Yes, it is has been hang for years and years. I think part of the black lives Matter Movement is not to say, you know, all lives, our lives are more important than anyone elses, its to kind of document or show that, yes, things have been going on, now we have proof, you know, what are we going to do about it. Right. And when Law Enforcement response is all lives matter or Blue Lives Matter thats kind of like a slap in the face to some people and thats part of this issue is just acknowledge, yes, your life is important to us. But also we have to come to an accord to find out how do we bridge this gap. Do you find this a conversation youve had sometimes like with your colleagues or other people. I feel like its different from someone in uniform versus a civilian that says black lives matter. As far as our department we have these conversations. Definitely do acknowledge but the mission i is now is how do we go forward show that were transparent trying to work towards peace and an accord. How do you explain this to kids . Ive seen parents trying to explain whats going on. The kids go whats all this hub bub about. How do you explain it. The target audience youre looking at in Burlington City and ill back up just for second theres not 99 percent of officers are very good officers and theres nobody that hates a dirty Police Officer than an officer that works with integrity so we understand that the public wants bad officers addressed and held accountable. Officers the 99 percent of officers that i work with also want those officers held accountable. But as long as its done fairly. With the children, is that we have to break the ice on certain levels. In Burlington City we have very good officers with very good ideas. Two ways that were doing in it Burlington City is that last year officer Jeff Burkette was throwing a ball were it a kid and fox did a very good story on it. We have football there well give to children so that we can open up that conversation. Umm. S ice cream our officers city a child doing something very good theyll be able to handled out a free water ice which again the officers will write them a little card, give it to them and again open up the communication and theyll get a free water ice for being a good citizen and again this is our patrol officers, theyre buying in the Community Policing theyre coming up with the ideas. Reserve officer kent kramer was the one who came up with this idea. Is that the key having the Community Policing and being in the community for positive reasons. I think this goes a little deeper than that. Like my theory is its time to really bridge things up and get back involved in the Community Plant long term seeds that will have, you know that will pair positive fruit for generations to come. You know, mentorship, pal league, show that we are humans, we have a lot of things in common and you can trust us, we can trust you. You cant have an officer from one demographic come into a town and do deal with people that they know nothing about. It wont work. We can expose them to both sides to each other and learn from each other, learn about each other, then that threat level, that under current of maybe distrust will probably fade away in a couple years. Thank you both for coming. Thank you for having us. I think since wednesday, thursday and friday were all looking for a way to make this better. South on the extension some debris. Looks like a tractortrailer lost a bunch of its tire treads right near the lansdale interchange. That protest were watching it closely. Were down there live 8 oclock set for around city hall so thats going to impact the second half of our morning rush hour. North on the freeway delays coming in toward the city. Some folks staying down the shore and coming right from the beach right into the office. And your best bet for today, if youre looking for Something Different with the mass transit situation, try the market frankford or the subway. Sue has got the answer coming up in 15 second seconds. For all lifes shrieks and shouts one answer that holds the answer aaa. Hopefully no shrieks and shouts unless youre shouting for joy because the humidity is down. July in philadelphia thats a rare treat. 69 in the city, 58 mount pocono, dewpoints remain in the 50s. Little stickier in dover but even that is in the comfortable range, so were in the pleasant dewpoint range. Humidity is down for today and probably tomorrow. Then we see it gets sticky on wednesday. We could reach 90 degrees. Well be close. Looks like well be well above on thursday. On friday. Even saturday and sunday so somewhere in there, mike and alex, well get heat wave number three. Theyre going the take on tampa at the linc. I thought you were talking about a different kind of game. Isnt that cool . We have nothing talk about. Phillies are doing well though. They are. Yeah. I know the game you want to talk about, your iphone game. Ypokemon go. Everyone is doing it. All the iphone gamers are really into it but now its being used in robberies. Police in the state of missouri say four teens robbed victims after luring them using the new pokemon go game. There are also concerns that the game is too distracting. Because people are Walking Around and have their eyes glued to the phone. People are i know out. Girl in maine twisted hissing kell a guy in new york fell off a skateboard. Horrifying tragedies. Jen fred. They could be worse thats the concern. Jen fred is standing upright right now to talk about this. Hey, jen. So you know, this is huge. The Nintendo Company has its basically the number one apple store and its helped boost their stock by about 10 percent which is billions of dollars but the game which leads players on a real life Scavenger Hunt in which they can view pokemon characters is causing some troubles. Its a realtime Virtual Reality game. Everyone can see where you are using the geo location feature of the pokemon app. How does it work with robbers . They can anticipate where you are and how many people around you. If theres no one around you they can move in. Heres another creepy thing. A reddit movie noticed there was a trove of pokey stops in cemeteries. Its getting people outside. A lot of people in new york city saying theyre talking to each other on the subway. I loaded this. This right there is the pokemon app. Bring it is up. This is me, right. And the problem is you kind of have to walk around and im in the little studio location here but if i widen out a little bit and turn around, hold on one second, i can z, whoops i can see theres a guy thats you. This is the guy i need to walk to. Problem is with the studio situation its basically where bob is. See this guy he kind of looks like an ant. Yeah. Thats who im trying to get to. This is how you see how people are kind of like theyre trying to walk around and youre looking around because you dont know where youre supposed to be going and i have to stand on blocks in the studio because im so short. So im trying to get to this red thing. Thats where i can get more balls and if i get the balls i can throw them. Youre almost there. Thats the other thing. This thing so far here in this corner. See if i walk right over here. Youre almost there. Its almost like im outside hi. Or this is a really good way to send your kids to time out. Im not really sure what the situation s i come back up here and again that oh. Were seeing it. Where did he go. I know and again imagine doing this see how it popped up. Yeah. But youre doing this while youre Walking Around and youre kind of like,. What monumental waste of time. Its a monumental waste of time. Guess what . Remember when the kids used to have the cards and they were trading it on the bus. Brody was coming home with pokemon cards. Ill trade that for a pencil. So, its more yeah, but look how cute my guy s i think i look cute. You do look cute. That was back when game boys. Game boy. This is like it puts you in the game. Did you ever trade a garbage pale kids. No. Did anybody garbage pale . Im alone on that one. Who is in the control room right now. Ryan. Is it ryan. Ryan. Look up garbage pale kids. Thats a thing. My parents wouldnt let me do that. You dont want bratz. No bratz bratz were bad. Garbage pale kids were kind of band. There it is. They were trading cards. My kids did this. Adam bomb, get it. Stupid. Naughty. Interesting. Thanks jen. Well be right back. Monumental waste of time. Hey, parents, it may be time to stop encouraging your kids to stop sucking their thumbs. Heres the thing. Apparently some suckers do well later in life. Did you suck your thumb alex . Im sure at one point i did. Last summer. Very funny. When youre the parent of a disabled child, you realize that the world can be a harsh place. But you also realize it can be a really loving, wonderful place. When i saw donald trump mock somebody who was disabled, i was appalled. You gotta see this guy. Ahh, i dont know what i said, ahh, i dont remember that reporter suffers from a chronic condition that impairs movement of his arms. It told me everything i need to know about his heart and what he believes deep down. Priorities usa action is responsible for the content of this advertising. Talent learn about it i saw some pictures with my what do you call them. Granddaughter. Grandson. How is teddy now. Teddy is five. Does he suck his thumb. No. But jack two and a half almost every picture i see. Hes sucking his thumb. Is that good or bad dr. Mike seriously. Its good because kids need something to calm them down. Its bad because it can cause actual remodeling of of the palate, the part of the mouth and so we dont like to encourage it but we dont want kids to be nervous. Now my daughter amy is four and she still sucks her thumb. Most experts in this area say look pacifier up to about 12 months, sucking the thumb, okay, if it comforts the kid but you want to make sure they do it. When they hit first grade kids make fun of them sometimes and that end they stop. So, why is this coming up. Yeah. Its coming up because this study slows that kids who suck their thumb as later in life as age 30 had less allergies but its not the sucking of the thumb thats the important is, its another case where you have cats, dog if youre exposed to allergy causing thingerlthing early in life youe your immune system and kids will be healthier later in life. Two things. I love the fact that we blurred kids faces when theyre sucking their thumbs but this poor woman biting her nails. That woman is a little old to be comforted by but you just said if you suck your thumb, youll have less allergies. Later in life, right. So, you dont want this is any other not dealing with anthrax or zika. Basically if your child sucks their thumb its because they need something we all need something to comfort and thats important but you dont encourage it. No one is encouraging that. I want to something i did two weeks ago. You should be concerned. I went to 17th and sansom. And yes, he was naked. Chiro therapy thing and i went down to 250 degrees below zero. It felt great. It certainly is stimulating. But there is little in the way of science to say that this does anything to your been around. It was developed in the 70s by a japanese physician. If you want to try Something Different the pick of the day the market frankford or broad street subway. They have been running trace every eight to 10 minutes. We had no issues at all last week during the entire work week. Free parking at the frankford transportation center. That connection to market frankford line, 1900 free spots at the Naval Hospital that can connect you to the broad street subway. Mike and alex, back over to you. You mentioned the rally thats taking place right now. Yes. Supposed to start about four minutes ago. Looks like it has. Skyfox is over center city philadelphia. A few people have shown up there. This is right at city hall on the ground there at broad basically, broad and Market Streets. So, it doesnt look like its too disruptive or anything like that. On the sidewalk right now. On the sidewalk, yeah. And its just beginning. Well keep you updated on how it goes. Speaking of that there were several rallies that happened over the weekend in different cities across the u. S. But a lot of people are talking about what happened at this particular one in baton rouge where prominent black lives matter acts 50 ray mckesson live streamed his own arrest. Hes walking through, this is in baton rouge and theyre along the highway where there werent any sidewalks but there was a painted line where you could walk through the shoulder. There is probably 700 people that were walking. He turned to look back at some other things that were going on, some other Police Activity and then he got arrested. Heres the video from when he live streamed over the weeken weekend. There are no sidewalks. Back up. What was his crime . Why is he being arrested. What did he do. Why is he being arrested. Why see being arrested right now. What did he do. Why is he being arrested . He didnt do anything. Yeah, zoey h zoey he so what. He was looking and then he said okay theyve mentioned stay on the sidewalk and he was like but theres no sidewalks here. He turns around and then thats when he gets tackled from behind by a Police Officer and thats why a lot of people were confused. Okay. But law the number one trending topic over the weekend. They were saying free duray. Nearly 130 people were taken into custody over the past few days. Yeah, hes since been freed on bond. He was charged with obstructing a highway during a protest in that city. Hes been a very prominent voice with the black lives Matter Movement. Hes been to the white house, cnn national network. Whenever theres an incident he usually travels to that city to help with the rallies that are going on. Uhhuh. All right, lets get back to dallas now. Police unveiling disturbing details about the dallas shooter. Evidence shows he may have had much deadlier plans in the works. Looks like it. The gunman Micah Johnson who killed five officers in dallas thursday at a protest march planned a bigger blood bloodier attach. Johnson wrote the letters rb in his own blood in a wall where he was hiding and later killed. Its unclear what he was trying write. Rb. Yes, rb but investigators are trying to figure it out. Lets get back to city hall where a rally is supposed to start at 8 oclock. Looks like a few people have showed up. Its 8 07 now. Heres dave. Reporter theyre already gathering here. This is white residents in philadelphia known as showing up for Racial Justice and theyre here to send a message of unity with black lives matter. Youll hear his vis here john with the group. John tell us what is the she imessage. We want to see a concrete response to Police Brutality. We want to know what the mayor has been doing we want to hear the police union, Police Representatives calling out Police Brutality and saying thats not going to be allowed in this city. We want to see that concrete response from all layers of government and concrete action taken to protect black and brown communities. Reporter you said you invited the folks of black lives matter out here as well. What has been like working with that organization. We sometime see white people involved but does it seem like both sides are kind of coming together on this. I think this is a moment where more and more people in the White Community are waking up to the reality of Police Brutality and the rally of racism financial country and so we see more and more white folks turning up to rallies and the way in which we work with black lives matter is that we work to mobilize and educate White Communities so that black lives matter can focus on taking action and working in their own communities and its not constantly on black and brown communities to educating white people on whats going on. Reporter when you have two africanamericans killed by police and of course five officers shot and killed last week what do we do. There is a great question. I think its important to remember its its not just so philando and cass stein were alton sterling were the 114 and 115th black men killed by police this year. We need to start listening to ideas that people are putting forward listening to their grief and rage, listening to ideas like the Community Control of police, investing less money in police and prisons and more money in schools and job creation looking at Transformative Solutions that you will alcohol address the whole situation of policing and violence and gun violence and not just individuals. Reporter thank you very much john. John with showing up for Racial Justice. Well send it back to you in the studio. Well keep an eye on that. 8 09. Other news of course this has been our top story for five days in philadelphia. Commuter ons septas Regional Rail could get a little bit of relief this morning. Thats because of course the original issue is a third of the cars off the tracks. Yeah. Now they got some loaner cars that are supposed to alleviate some of the issues. Theres a live shot. Here we go. Steve. Reporter larry david. Good morning. Reporter hes yelling something to me. Doesnt want to be on tv youve got no choice. Youre stuck here. Larry david. Reporter they had some people going down to the last car so this is the most crowded weve seen it yet. The fact judging that i didnt get thrown off the train, so larry david said despite the fact they didnt what happened to be on tv he had no choice because he cant get on the rail car so theres no room at the inn. Lets go to the next car. Same picture. Remember septa said they didnt wander people standing here, its unsafe to do this. This guy is standing between the trains. To this thats safe with these people between the trains. Look at this young lady here. No men are getting up and giving you a seat. No guy giving you a lovely lady a seat. And i remember septa said nobody is supposed to stand between the trains like this. Right but it is cooler though you get a nice breeze. And look, hes reading a newspaper. That newspaper will blow out of his hands many people trying to get on here. We saw pretty good news up until now, so at least this train stopped. But lets see if septa takes off with people standing between the trains like this. Mike, alex, what do you think, would you feel safe doing this . You got a little chain there to hold onto but i wouldnt feel safe doing that. No, i is to admit i have done it. You have. Did you feel okay. No. Youre not supposed to be doing that. All right. Well, so far they just released the brake. You can stay with us. They didnt theyre not leaving yet. You got to decide megan back there whether you want to stay with this picture or not. Were seeing the conductors meet down to the left down there and letting the last people go to that last train all the way down there. Last car. And see if theyll fit on there. The question is do they take off or just allow these people that arpeopleor just squeeze thn somehow. If septa management was watching us right now live they would not approve of this train moving with people standing here outside two cars like that. We showed you these trains get moving pretty good well above 60 miles an hour at points and remember as bob kelly has told us, nonstop for a week now theyre still scheduled a lot of stops from ardmore to get to center city. This lane there is obviously going to be an express and bypass and that means it wont be slowing down it will be going fast the whole route and that woman going to center city will be standing outside for most of the trip unless somebody gets off at a stop but how will that happen if its not stopping and larry david you see standing there. We joked but that guy is a good lets see. Im going ask this guy a question in the capacity and see if hes going to take off like that. He said if you cant get inside you can go to the rear. Thats about a quarter mile walk. Lets see if anybody wants to get off and walk to that rear train. Promise me its not going to take off. Reporter thank god it didnt take off. He said all the way back. This is the first and seconds car and these cars are about 10 cars long. That was very nice and smart of you not to have them people standing there like that. You have to get inside. Reporter is there any room on that last car still . Last car is full. Reporter lets hope. You know, i jinxed this. I said everything was going smooth from ardmore and it was until i jinxed this. What do you think . Do you think these people are going to get on the train or do you think theres not going to be any room down there. I hope they get on the trainism i think these people in the foreground here with the luggage tried to get on before and couldnt. So, it looks like its moving without some people. Theyre not giving them time to walk you will the wa all the. There it takes offer. Oops. Wow, i would be upset about that. Thats not good. You asked me to get off the train and go to the rear car, i would think you would wait until i get to the rear car. Well you got suckered. Or amonged. Its so chaotic they dont even collect the fare. Were going to take a break here. Pics for peace. One local man tries to inspire change with a simple hashtag. How hes challenging the country to do the same. Hes from our area. Welcome back. 8 17. Unrest continues around the nation as black lives matter protestors and other activist groups speak out against the deaths of two africanamerican men gunned down last week at the hands of Police Officers. In philadelphia demonstrations. This is was the rallies that started about 8 oclock this morning. You can see people started to gather there. Several protests around the country did not end in arrests or violence. A lot have been peaceful. A lot of them. Heres a rally in dallas that actually happened, this was before the incident that happened later. You can see officers standing there with a protestor there. In pittsburgh a Police Officer walked along with demonstrators many people were demonstrating their First Amendment rights. Back in philadelphia over the weekend there were no arrests or violence there happened at the protests there. But it got intense in north philadelphia at a protest on saturday but people were trying to talk and figure out how do we solve this problem, how do we unite. Well, one local guy had an idea to bridge the divide between Police Officers and the community. Andre is his name went to the Police Station to talk with officers about the recent Police Shootings. He posted that picture right there which has now been seen across the country with chief george smith of the winslow township Police Department in hopes to open up a dialogue and man did they have a dialogue and theyve come up with a hashtag together called pics for peace. It is now trending across america. And in his Facebook Andre wrote not every theyre both with us here this morning in our studio. Good tow sue. Good morning. You guys said you walked into the Police Station had a two hour conversation. What in the heck did you talk about for two hours. That had to get deep. Chief right here is a huge talker. [laughter] we wont get into it. Hes like oh, this is how im planning to fix this. We told us we feel uncomfortable with whats going on in the media so he explained literally everything there our local police are doing to fix the Police Brutality issue and everything like that. So thats literally he went on for almost like an hour and a half and two hours talking about how we can do this, how we can fix this. It was insane. And when you did this you didnt even know you were talking to the chief at first. No clue, no clue. [laughter] i thought he was a regular officer his secretary told us we couldnt get to the chief we were like all right cool well take a regular officer then and then he just comes out and this man is like seven footer shaq. [laughter] what day was this. This was friday. Yes. Friday after what happened in dallas. Yes. What was your feeling . Why did you want to go into the Police Station. Well like i woke up and i was out the night before and i woke up and i felt some type of way about this and its like as a an africanamerican man i feel literally scared of whats going on and now that you have retaliation towards the police for that, all thats going to do is just start an all out war so im scared about that and im like how can i fix this and get it going like on our turf get a movement of peace going before it gets bad and so i was like literally called up my friends and went over to the Police Station. And it was that simple. Interesting that so many people they may feel upset about this and they may post on social media but you decided to say no im going to do something today and make some change happen. Yes. Chief what were your thoughts when you saw him walk into your officers like lay i want to talk to you. It wasnt like that at all. He came in and asked could he talk to me in private not realizing i was the chief. When we went into my office as they stood in front of me i knew none of these young men and they said to me were not here to talk about crime or confess to a crime and i said i kind of hope youre not this is my officers and we all began laughing and started realizing a conversation and talked about how it bothers everybody including my officers myself our town americans in general. Its a sad day seeing all this violence going on and different ways that we reach out to the community, our community is very diverse. Were 58 square mile town and andre and his friends live in our town as well as i do and just things that we do in the Police Department to try and get all of our residents involved. Including andre and we talked about body cameras and adopt a cop and things that my officers do within the town just to keep that Community Partnership going which i think is show important. Thursday i think i saw something on your Facebook Page that said if you dont understand what black lives matter means youre part of the problem. Yes. What do you mean by that. Because a lot of people theyll see the hashtag black lives matter and instantly think that thats means that white lives dont and that other lives dont but thats not the point. Were just saying were being slaughtered out in these convenient it looks bad because now with everybody having cameras you can see it live like theres a live video showing somebody dying. Cameras have changed everything. Theyve changed the whole game. That doesnt mean white lives dont. Were just saying focus on this right now this is a huge problem. This is what needs attention. Glad you brought that up. Thank you. Then how do you feel with pics for peace how do you feel like this will help solve things. Explain what this means so people at home can be part of it. Pics for peace the idea is we were going to start with pics with offense. We wanted to make it a huge thing. You walk up to a random person. People post pictures on instagram. Walk up to a different person avenue different race and or a Police Officer and snap a picture with them put it up for peace. I hope this brings some unity to a world filled with chaos right now. Its absolutely insane right now. Are you hoping this will start a conversation then. Definitely. You dont just walk up to somebody and say hey selfie. No. I get that every day of my life. Can i get a pic. Can somebody take a pic. Hey, is anybody over there to take a pic. Staff. Youre doing this too spree in had some my calls yesterday from fellow officers working yesterday and they had some pictures taken with them as well as i have been speaking with news see nolan from fox news. I know her. She called me last night and i was asking if i knew officers in a different Police Department which i did and that was residents calling her, email or texting asking if they could get pictures with them officers so. Wow. This is pretty cool. Can you hit that. Thank you andre. Thank you chief. We appreciate you guys and andre appreciate you actually having the conversation and going in and helping to bridge. So that hopefully this helps get the conversation going and well see some action happening. Thats the plan. I hope it just goes countrywide so we can start to see a good movement. It already has. Oh, well [laughter] thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Got to take a break. Then well take you back to city hall where theres a rally under way right now. [ ghost voice ] the name your price tool can show you Coverage Options to fit your budget. Oh ohhh she slimed me. [ laughs ] okay, im trying to see exactly which intersection this is. Bob kelly can you help us out. This rally here i goes you could call it a protest has spilled off into the streets at 8 oclock in the morning, now 8 27. Theyre blocking this is right around city hall. Would that be market or is that yes, Market Street. I just cant tell if its east or west. City hall there. Is that the ritzcarlton there off to the right, the Glass Building . Is that the ritz. I dont know if its that tall. Is it that tall . I think youre right. Thats the clothes pin building on the left. That would be the clothespin building on the left there. Anyway, traffic is stalled, stopped basically around city hall. I dont imagine this will last that long. Theyre making their statement, making their point. Youre right theres the clothespin in the background. Okay. So, if youre traveling to your job and your job is in center city, youre going to be disrupted. Just know that city hall all the way around city hall is clogged right now. 8 28.
