Police say that boy was just sitting inside his home when he was shot violence in the city of chester has been on the rise. Fox 29 Sabina Kuriakose joins us from chester. Sabina . Reporter lucy and iain, neighbors are shocked and stunned even in the somewhat hardened community. They say this was a well, loved, wellliked 11yearold boy that all of them knew. Hes fighting for his life. Shortly after all of this happened, police say it was just before 10 00 last night, when they responded to the report of a shooting along the 3400 block of township line road. They found the grade schooler shot in his chest. He was inside of his home at the time. Cops say a stray bullet apparently went through the victims house, and struck him where he sat. Neighbors say they heard a sudden burst of about 20 gunshots firefighters r at first they believed they were fireworks until the shots just didnt stop. Now, police are not exactly sure what led to the gunfire outside of the home. People here who know the little boy say they are shell shocked and pulling for this family.
