Well most importantly chris we want to let you know the firefighters are okay. One had to be taken to the hospital. The other one was checked out so they are okay. In fact as we look behind me now, the scene is in process of being cleared out. This fire is now over. There were at least eight Fire Departments here. They are in the process of leaving. You see the home here pretty serious damage here on the 100 block of mohawk trail this is Medford Lakes. A woman cooking in her kitchen when this fire started. A Police Officer the first to the scene here, was not able to put the fire out. It grew out of control. Several Fire Departments then arrived. This is pretty wooded area. It was windy as you know. Earlier today at around 2 30 when the fire started. They began tackling the fire several on the inside, a couple of them on the roof and were told conditions changed it got very very smokey. Firefighters were called back but somehow in the process two of them did suffer smoke inhalation. Again, as we mentioned one of the firefighters had to be taken to the hospital. The other one was checked out by a medic but the one in the hospital were told is going to be okay. The woman lives here by herself. And she just went to a neighbors house in fact shes float aig round here doing okay. So certainly the situation could have been worse. The homeowner is okay.
