Vicepresident joe biden made his way to wilmington, delaware to cast his vote. Vicepresident has been a busy surrogate for Hillary Clinton the past few weeks speaking at several rallies. This election season in support of her and other Democratic Candidates and as always our tristate area is going play a big role in determining the next president. Pennsylvania in particular is up for grabs despite recent history that tilts to the democrats favor. Our bruce gordon in studio in front of our regional map to break down the race. Bruce, two of three states are considered safe bets. Reporter absolutely. History tells us that the state of new jersey and the state of delaware are what we call deep blue that is they have traditionally gone for the democrats. The pre election polling tells us that is going to take precedent this time around aga again. Double digit leads for clinton over trump his time around. We have every expectation that 14 electoral votes will come from new jersey for the democr democrat. Three others from delaware. The real action, the real drama, takes place here in the state of pennsylvania. 20 electoral votes as we know, and the real action takes place right here in southeastern pa. What we know from history is that over time the Republican Party has all but disappeared in the city of philadelphia. What does that mean . Well, in 2012 it means that barack obama came out of the city of philadelphia with an electoral margin of Something Like 465,000 votes. Democrats plus 465 thats a huge margin. What happened in the counties . Well in the old days the republicans could have made some progress there won the rest of the state and done all right. Heres what happened four years ago. Delaware county and Montgomery County big victories for the democrats. 120,000 vote margin even out of the suburbs so the massive 585,000 vote margin out of this part of the state northern enough to undo Everything Else in the state and the democrats take it that way. If these margins are smaller than this for the democrats tonight, it could be a real tight race. Well be watching for what happens right in this region. Guys . All right, thank you much, bruce.
