It is considered a major spill, and the code. 25 gallons every december ill spilled into the mississippi after pipe caring fuel from the phillips 66 terminal to barges on the river ruptured. Immediately, crews moved to stop the leak and begin the clean up by laying booms. Committed ensuring that the clean is up done, the right way, so that there is no impact. Companies alerted downstream to close intake valves. Water officials on both sides of the mississippi tell me they avoided any problems, but are still closely monitoring the situation.
