That sevenyearold boy from trenton still remains at chop tonight. He was airlifted that after a horrible accident happened at the Oxford Valley mall where his foot became lodged at the bottom of a mall escalator. It took rescue crews 20 horrifying minutes to free the boy. Now that escalator was shut down when we were at the mall tonig tonight. It happened in front of many Holiday Shoppers. Police say the mother of the little boy screamed alerting another shopper to hit the emergency button on the down escalator. Now, witnesses tell me the boy appeared to be in shock when ems crews took him away. We do not know the extent of the boys injuries bought there was no amputation. Now one witness says there were many on lookers who tried to help. Just heard some screaming and then everybody started running towards the elevator. I could tell something was going on. So i went out there myself. Im retired policemen and i see there was nothing i could do. Because he was totally stuck in there. So security showed up. Then later on the Fire Department showed up. Reporter the escalators undergo route teen maintenance and this was recently inspected this escalator knowledge problems with it. With that particular escalator in the past. Well a local familys house is nearly destroyed just before the holidays and they say it was a fire bomb. As fox 29s Sabina Kuriakose tells us the family is lucky to be getting out of there alive. He asked us not to use his last name but says 1 00 oclock sunday morning, somebody through a fire bomb into his germantown home. We we asleep and i heard a bank and i went and looked down the steps. I said oh, my god they through a fire bomb. It happened at east of east colder and lena streets. They laid their bodies over his four month old granddaughter to shield her as firefighters rescued the trapped family. Thats whats left of the familys christmas tree. The babys presents destroyed. All of this was on fire. Reporter unbelievably the house next door had been struck by a suspected far bomb two weeks ago. All eight people in that home got out safely. Thats from the other side. Reporter dans family is okay, too. But his home is partially destroyed. Fire marshals are investigating whether in fact this was a fire bomb that torched this house. Authorities are work to go find the suspect wanted for burning a 19yearold woman alive in mississippi. People in her small town said their final goodbyes to Jessica Chambers this weekend. Investigators say nine 8 of her body was burned last week after she was doused with some kind of liquid and set on fire. Her body was found lying outside her car. She died at the hospital. But not before giving a clue to authorities. Chambers a former cheerleader, was getting ready to start college. Friends and neighbors are just shocked. So it really doesnt feel too terrible out there. Ultimate doppler is keeping us dry. Unfortunately, though, it doesnt last for long. Tomorrow is our last dry day and get the umbrella because we have a line of showers out to our west cup throughout of the central planes pushing into the ohio valley and this arrives for us by tuesday. So tuesday afternoon were going to start to look at rain back into the forecast. Heres a look at your fox future cast. Well roll through monday. Just to show you no proble probs going on. By tuesday evenings commute, we are looking at some rain showers and then that will last through much of the evening before it exits on wednesday morning. And wednesday morning first thing we could see a little bit of sleet mix in with that up to our northwest. But pretty much for everybody its a rain event with temperatures still sitting well above the freezing mark. Tonight no worries. About the rain or really any bad weather at all. 35 degrees for the overnight low. Its movely cloudy but those clouds already breaking up so id say its pretty much partly cloudy overnight. And then those clouds will give way to sunshine tomorrow morning. Tomorrow great day, 47 degrees. Typically around this time of year we shall be at 45 hell do 2 degrees better than that.
