If youre just joining we do have one lane passing the right lane thats going to be passing. But if you can take 75 instead. You might save your self some time sitting in traffic over the bridge. So well keep you up sedated on that crash. Meantime heavy congestion all way around of course were dealing with slick roadways in hillsborough southbound look near bearss. We basically have traffic completely stopped, backed up basically all the way from taking 75 minutes, this is 75 minutes of a drive, thats very, very unusual. 75 to i4 taking 275 southbound, also heavy delays southbound 7532 minutes to 75 to i4. Standing water reports northbound 275 looking very slow here in near one 75. Inside left and center lanes are going to be blocked here youve an advisory make sure you are slowing it down we showed you down at the top of the hour big concern with cars being stranded. So we want to get over to walter so 275, where you saw exit ramps closed at 54th avenue south do you all that flooding concerns. We did get a check from him, a couple minutes ago. Im happy to see that some of those cars they were able to get out of the way. We were concerned about that. Hows it looking now, walter . Its look a lot better. Only actually one car that still in water. And that actually is from an accident from earlier. You can see front end just damaged up. As you can see the standing water is still there. And with a rain coming down, heavier than it was my last report, this water dowelled go back to rising as opposed to falling. Were a higher ground. So we are a little bit drier. And all the cars moved off the off ramp and Highway Patrol troopers are at the beginning of off ramp making sure people dont jump back on it. But unfortunately, its different story earlier this morning you got to remember about 5 oclock this was standing water here on this ramp. And it was a very, very dark. We talked to one motorist who got stranded. This is what she had to say. Scared me. Fist time this has ever happened ive number florida all my life. Ive never been stuck in water. Now can you believe that shes been in florida her whole life and never be struck by stranded water. It was pretty scare situation for her she came down 5 oclock this morning and then got into the water. One tire up on curb a little bit of water coming in that you her doors the big trucks started to roll through ambulance and et cetera, thats when it started to push more and more water into her car. She says her car completely flooded out it was on flat bed and now being towed away she called aaa obviously she will a little late to work this morning he she work eckerd college, bosses she does have a very, very good excuse. But as far as this off ramp loose like its going to be closed for at least at near future i would say hours if not longer, vanessa. Yeah i can see that big mess for a walter. Were also beginning see some of heavier rain expand northward into coastal porsz pasco county ive also got from ban brandon that does extend eastward into parts of polk county as well. On this path, Strong Tropical Storm expected to make land fall east of apalachee cola. Some tame late in day tomorrow. With all activity or most of it, on eastern side of that storm, that creates problems from here all the way up. Now from pasco county north, we had Tropical Storm warnings, those were issued at 5 00 a. M. This morning. Within the next 36 hours you can anticipate Citrus County of getting Tropical Storm force winds. Which are 39 Miles Per Hour or greater. I feel as though that will be a tomorrow, not today, but tomorrow. Okay. And the flood watches is also put out 2 oclock, right through friday. For all of the counties from Sarasota County northward. And for the folks that live in some of those low lying areas, or flood prone areas, this can be a major concern if youre dealing with some prolonged periods of rainfall. We know Emergency Managers are continuing to watch the radar closely. Their biggest concern in coming hours, heavy rain and high wind. We example this is an area where there are no strangers to pintense flooding. Heavy rainfall, just last summer, this area experienced just that when the Anclote River overflowed. And today t people in this area, along with other flood prone areas have already been informed that go ahead, prepare in case you need to evacuate should the situation require you to do so. Are most concerned about is wednesday night, thats tonight into tomorrow morning. Yesterday we were there as some of the residents arrived at the Pasco County Government Center picking up sand bags as one of those steps to prepare for this rainfall. High waters left some roadways soaked and others impassable Emergency Managers are urging people to prepare ahead of time. Hillsborough county, also picking up some heavier rain but im real focused in here clearwater to la go heading over to pinellas park. Weve just seen the third round of very heavy rain. Its moving south to north. So dunedin, oldsmar, palm harbor, you do have another band of heavy rain coming at you. Its light to moderate in tampa area. But that is enough. I know to slow it down for commute this morning from 75 near ruskin north waried through riverview into brandon area. I got moderate little patch of rain as ll east, polk county parkway is wet at this hour. Oh this is just the beginning too. Because were starting to see some showers s work their way up into pasco county. Now heavy rainfall. Matter of time citrus and hernando before you get rain as well look at the flareup of thunderstorms. With tropical depression number everything just expanding this more than morning right now theres no plane inside the system. I dont think they are upgrade this until they get a plane in there to see if they have those Tropical Storm force winds. I can tell you in general, with the wind sheer going down, the storm is beginning expand its beginning beginning to get larger. Drifting, drifting north at two miles an hour now forward speed is expected to pick up over northeast turn. Tropical storm warnings were issued this morning for pasco county, hernando county, Citrus County. And north all way through big bend. That means, within the next 36 hours, you can anticipate 39 mile per hour winds or greater from pasco county to the north. In addition i got a flood watch, for all coastal counties. Im going from levy county all the anticipation of several inches of rain there could be flooding and this flood watch by the way goes until friday. Now, tomorrow, later in the day as that storm approaches, the big bend area, we may have to deal with some isolated tornadoes. I think the threat would a little bit further north and a something that could play out tomorrow. So those are the things that were concerned about. 8 oclock numbers for you, winds at 35 miles north at two. I want this thing to forward movement. I will tell you why. Not thyme wanting this to but its going to move on shore. But the faster it does, the less it has a chance to strengthen. But sitting out there in middle of the gulf moving north at 2, thats not good. So we want to get it to start to make that move toward north and eventually the northeast. The current forecast was shifted just a few miles to the west. But bringing it on shore some time tomorrow evening as a of apalachicola. And the latest models painting the same type of set up bringing it on shore late in the day tomorrow on this path of of course, that means that well be on eastern side. Some cameras arent working from picking up quite bit. Delays at this point from 75, to 75 junction manatee all way towards north end the bridge now ten minutes or so that very big improvement. So it appears as though theyve actually cleared lanes out here. So, weigh that out ten minutes worth of delays or taking 75 see how that, would out depending on where youre coming and where youre going to Manatee County state root 64 heres new crash all westbound lanes are blocked myakka city. This due to a crash. So some improvements to southbound 275, i know, were under an hour to get from 75 to i4. Yes, that down about 15 minutes or so, no, its not perfect. Then, two trucks came by, and it flooded water up into the inside of my car it just sat there and when bigger trucks came by was flooded. Yeah believe it or not, this first time shes ever been flooded out. Never seen anything like this he she lived in florida her entire life. By way she had to call aaa and her car it might be totaled. Obviously mechanics will make final determination. Her cause is in significant damage it had to be towed away. In talking with these workers over here theyve had busy busy morning right now they are trying to empty drains so water can get out of here. Theyve been emp morning long and reporting to accidents, fender bender and collisions in guardrails. That sort of thing. A busy busy morning probably going to busy next couple of days. To pinellas pount go on destination from there and exit beyond that and exit at 26 the avenue south. Southbound drivers wanting to avoid that exit ramble the exit beforehand in southbound direction would be 2 south. And jet this morning, look at these rainfall amounts. In past six hours. So going from twon 39 to 8 39. Right at the beach. Six inches of rain. Right in the middle of Pinellas County, down over southern portions of pinellas and down toward fort de soto 4 to 5 inches of rain. This why were getting flooding so far in Pinellas County the lesser amounts in tampa. It has been raining for the past couple of hours. Heres your latest radar with heavy rain continues right in the middle of Pinellas County. And watch what happens is after the heavy rain bands move through, it stops for a while. But then you look off shore, and so this is going to be on and off especially along the coastline for the next couple of days. You can never underestimate any type of tropical system. Even tropical depression. Because they can throw out tons and tons of rain which lead to flooding. So i need people to understand especially in Pinellas County this morning everything is full. So more rain is only going to cause more in the way of Flooding Issues in this partic lets go north. Because right along 19, New Port Richey up through hudson theres a batch of heavy rain. That is on its way up to spring hill. Again just round one for you. You go east we actually have some heavy rain. This is 75. Were 75 and 4 are rains actually coming down at pretty good clip this morning. In and around plant city. Again pinellas has seen so much. Now, i show you enhanced satellite. Youre going to notice over the its very apparent here that the convection larger, expanding, so perhaps sign of strengthening doesnt need to move much in trenth enning process to become a Tropical Storm. Thats we do anticipate as they get plane out here later to investigate this. Its only drifting. Drifting to the north around 2 Miles Per Hour. Computer model are clustered in big bend area. They will be waivering their line back and forth to hurricane center. But on this path, o bring the worst weather up there. Say around but you a trop can Storm Force Winds through pasco county. Winds 35 miles per how drifting north at 2. Moving on shore some time late in the day tomorrow. The worst of the weather for the west coast of florida is going to be tomorrow. Especially north of the tampa area. Thats where we have at Tropical Storm warnings out. Or greater from pasco county northward. In the next 36 hours. Now, it is 8 41 on wednesday morning. Pasco, hernando Citrus County. I think the Tropical Storm force winds around tomorrow event for you. Okay. But youre under that warning right now. Also they continue hurricane watch for that area too. Flood watches begin today and go right through friday with several inches of rain anticipated. So, as far as wind ghost, medium to high for the the biggest threat is going to be the flooding from the heavy rain. It looks tock south of intersection where we lot of red northbound and southbound pretty much jammed north and south of this intersection. So avoid if you can.
