Yesterday 23monthold Lawson Whitaker was rushed to the hospital after his father found him unconscious in his car seat in the back of a familys pickup truck. Lawson he is dad troy bitter can is a Hillsborough County fire fighter. Detectives say after dropping off his son or his daughter his day care but instead lawson was left in the back seat of a family truck on a very hot day. Whitaker came home around 8 30 in the morning and Late Afternoon went to the Grocery Store. When he rurnldz home around 4 30 that afternoon, whitaker started to unload the groceries and discovered lawson lifeless and not breathing. He tried to do cpr, but it was too late. The childs body temperature at 5 00 was 18 degrees so the child 108 degrees. The child had been in the car all day long. Been in the car eight hours. A very tragic situation.
