Breaking news overnight out of central kansas. Police are investigating after a man carrying an assaultstyle weapon shot more than a dozen people, four people died including the gunman. This is 25 miles north of ichita. The shootings happened at a manufacturing plant where the gunman worked. Everybody said there was gunshots, ashooter. We kept hearing pop pop. Reporter it was near the end of the work day when authorities were called to a shooting, followed by a report of another attack at another location and then word of an active shooter inside excel industries. He had no specific target. He was shooting anyone that got in his way. Reporter he firsthot someone in the plants parking lot. We was alady looking at him. He yelled and went do do do and d went into the building. Reporter Authorities Say there were multiple fatalities. Inside the building, he shot a total of 50 people, four were killed including the shooter. Reporter the sheriff says the lone gunman was killed by Law Enforcement after he went on a shootingpree in four locations.
