New tonight, two Airline Passengers are busted in new york while trying to board a flight to miami. To get through security at laguardia, hiding dangerous objects not allowed onboard. Each tried to board an American Airlines flight this morning packing razor blades. Only it wasnt in tir checked luggage. An 18yearold woman had a razor blade coealed inside her baseball cap, while a 40yearold man had a razor hidden inside his shoe and a blade hidden in a bottle of cologne. We dont know why they tried to conceal the blades but both are facing weapons possession charges. They were stopped within 15 minutes of each other, so its not clear if they know one another. This is a dashboard removed from a toyota, because it is a sticky mess. You can see right here it actually sticks to your fingers. Its cracking in some spots. And even peeling ay in other places. On the way. Problem solved, right . Not so fast. Daniella perez loves the way her car looks. The way it drives. But hates the problem glaring back at her. When youre driving in the sun, the sun creates a glare on the dashboard. And you can see. Its like a white light. The dashboard of her lexus is250 is literally melting under the florida sun. Its only gotten worse over the past three years. Finallyly a year ago, they said, oh, were going to fix it. Who has a melting dashboard. We all do. Whos still waiting to get it fixed . Waiting since last february. When toyota anounced it was extending its warranty to replace the sticky dashboards inside panels of cars. 4. 5 million vehicles affected. Of the dashboard reporter we didnt only find a problem in south florida. Drivers across the country have melting dashboards, texas, california, and other southern states. The attorney represents more than 400 car owners in the miami area alone with melting dashboards. But only a few have gotten them fixed. A handful. Handful. Reporter and that leaves these drivers and many more dealing with this shiny sight that they call a dangerous distraction. Its difficult to see, its so shiny. Reporter toyota says their slowdown is due to a lack of parts. Some of the dashboards that have to get replaced date back to what do you have to say model. Parts replacement is proceeding in several phases, based on model. And were continuing to increase production levels. They just keep saying, oh, the parts, were waiting for the parts.
